But many people don't know that the character of Yang Zirong is actually real. He was from Shandong, his original name was Yang Zonggui, and Yang Zirong was the name he changed before joining the army. These deeds in the play are not made up, but have a real basis. He was also named one of the 100 heroic and exemplary figures who made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China for his outstanding contributions.
However, it is regrettable that even if the drama "Wise Tiger Mountain" is popular all over the country, Yang Zirong's name is well known to the people of the whole country, but his mother did not know that he was "Yang Zirong" until his death, and even some people think that Yang Zirong went to become a bandit, so that Yang Zirong finally hated it. What is going on here, and why doesn't anyone know Yang Zirong's true identity?
Yang Zirong was born in a small village in Shandong, and his ancestors have been authentic farmers for generations. At that time, the poor had the luxury of trying to survive. Because of his family difficulties, he also followed his parents to the northeast to work early. Such an experience has made him very aware of the "black words" of all walks of life since he was a child, and has cultivated a "jianghu qi".
In 1945, Japan surrendered, and Yang Zirong also joined the Eighth Route Army at this time, becoming a member of the revolutionary army. At that time, in order to consolidate the base areas in the northeast, the Party Central Committee decided to send a large number of troops and cadres into the northeast. Yang Zirong actively signed up and followed the large army back to the northeast. In the army, Yang Zirong was particularly strong in camouflage because of his years of social experience, and the head of the unit arranged him to the post of scout. At that time, the situation in the northeast was chaotic, with fish and dragons mixed and bandits everywhere. When the Communist army came here, the first big thing they had to do was to suppress the bandits and give the people of the northeast a good job.
In 1946, Yang Zirong's unit rushed to the Mudanjiang area to take charge of the task of suppressing bandits in the area. In March, the force decided to launch an offensive against the bandits entrenched in the village of Almond Tree. At that time, Yang Zirong was already the squad leader, and he led a squad to the west end of the village to block the road out of the village. In February 1947, in Lishugou, north of Hailin, there were people who reported that bandits were active nearby. After receiving the order, the commander of the second regiment decided to send a reconnaissance detachment to find out the situation.
At the beginning, the regimental commander considered that Yang Zirong had just made a great contribution, so he thought of letting him rest, but did not let him participate in this operation. After Yang Zirong learned of this situation, he resolutely asked for battle, and finally joined this bandit detachment.
When they arrived at Lishugou, the masses reported to the squad that the bandits might be active in Zhizigou in the past two days. After getting this news, Yang Zirong quickly led everyone to The Branch Valley. After several days of arduous searching, the reconnaissance detachment finally found a shack with green smoke. There were still people talking inside, and after identification, Yang Zirong concluded that these people were the bandits to be searched.
After careful observation, Yang Zirong judged that his own number was superior, and he could completely eliminate this group of bandits. So he led his warriors to kick open the gate and surround the bandits. But unexpectedly, because of the cold weather, the firing pins of their guns were all frozen and could not be fired. At this time, the bandits in the house fired a shot from the outside, and Yang Zirong was unfortunately shot in the left chest and killed on the spot.
Yang Zirong's death is extremely sad, and what is even more heartbreaking is that the troops want to comfort his family, but they find that they can't find anything, and no one even knows where he came from.
This is because Yang Zirong no longer used his real name "Yang Zonggui" before joining the army, and the troops did not understand this situation at all. And Yang Zirong's family does not know that their "Zonggui" has changed its name, so even when the drama "Wise Tiger Mountain" is popular all over the country, the Yang family still does not know that Yang Zonggui is the "Yang Zirong" in the play.
His old mother had repeatedly gone to the county to react to the situation, looking for her son who had become a soldier, but she had never been able to find it. Unfortunately, Yang Zonggui disguised himself as a bandit, was seen by the people in the village, and mistakenly thought that he had gone to the northeast to become a bandit, so he canceled their family's military status.
Yang's mother could not bear her son's lifelong identity as a bandit and constantly petitioned, so she took off this hat. But where Yang Zonggui is, is he still alive, no one knows.
It was not until 1974 that the fact that Yang Zirong was Yang Zonggui was finally confirmed. But by this time, his mother and wife and daughter had long since passed away. His mother's favorite drama before she died was to outwit The Tiger Mountain, but his mother would never know that his son was not a bandit in other people's populations, but a great hero who stood tall in the sky.
