The United Nations Postal Administration announced on January 14 that in celebration of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, the United Nations will issue stamps with the theme "Sport for Peace". This is the first time that the United Nations has issued a stamp for the Winter Olympics.

According to the United Nations Postal Administration, the stamps issued were denominations of $0.58, $1.30, 1.10 Swiss francs, 2.00 Swiss francs, 0.85 euros and 1.80 euros, respectively, showing the images of ice hockey players, snowboarders, figure skaters, snowmobilers, curlers and alpine skiers. The stamps were painted by Chinese illustrator Nguyen Phhieu. Like regular stamps, "Sport for Peace" stamps can be used to mail a variety of letters.
