United Nations Post has been issuing zodiac stamps since the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The first round ended in the Year of the Ox (2021). The second round of the "Chinese New Year" series begins with a tiger.
The "Year of the Tiger" stamp plate was created by Chinese artist Mr. Pan Hu, who is the second time he has joined hands with the United Nations Post after the "Year of the Dog 2018" stamp. Mr. Pan Hu introduced the creation of stamps to the guests online. He said: "Our design is inspired by the classic poem 'In My Past, Present and Future' by Sigref Sasson. This poem is wrapped in a value - all things have two sides, one side represents strength, the other side represents delicacy. The tiger symbolizes authority, health and auspiciousness, and the tiger is also a spiritual totem of bravery and fearlessness. Therefore, we stand in the global perspective of the United Nations, so that the 'Year of the Tiger 2022' zodiac sign contains upward spirit and good wishes, and brings happiness and hope to people around the world!"
The second Spring Festival product launched by the United Nations Postal Administration is the United Nations stamp theme scarf - "The Language of the World". On February 21, 2019 (the International Mother Tongue Day proposed by UNESCO), the United Nations Post issued a set of 3 editions of the "World Languages" commemorative stamp sheet, and in 2022, it cooperated with Beijing Nuosi Cultural Exchange Co., Ltd. to launch the "World Languages" stamp theme silk scarf, hoping to pay attention to the diversity of languages and cultures and encourage international friendly exchanges in a rich and innovative form.
