United Nations Mars stamp release: including Zhu Rong Mars rover, Tianwen-1 pre-selected landing area landforms

On April 24, at the online launching ceremony of the 2022 "China Space Day", the United Nations Mars-themed stamps were released, including the landforms of China's Zhurong rover, Zhurong landing platform, and Tianwen-1 pre-selected landing area.

UN Under-Secretary-General Artur Halley released the UN Post Office's Mars stamp for the first time at the launch ceremony of the 2022 China Space Day online. A set of 6 Mars stamps and a set of 3 miniature sheets commemorate the achievements of human exploration of Mars.

The stamp footage includes the geomorphology of the pre-selected landing area of China's Tianwen-1, the Chinese Zhurong rover, the Mars Proctor Crater taken by the United States, the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover of the United States, the Mars photos taken by the UAE Hope probe, and the "ready to launch" of the UAE Mars rover.

China's China National Space Administration's first Mars exploration mission "Tianwen-1" achieved the three major goals of Mars orbit, landing and inspection through a single launch, and successfully landed in the pre-selected landing area of the southern Martian Utopia Plain on May 15, 2021. Orbital exploration is dedicated to the holistic and comprehensive understanding of the global mars, and the tour exploration focuses on high-resolution and fine studies of typical areas of the landing zone.

NASA's Mars 2020 mission, which landed on Mars on Feb. 18, 2021, including the Perseverance rover and the Wit helicopter, is expected to last at least a year on Mars (about 687 Earth days), and the goal of the mission is to look for signs of ancient life and collect rock and soil samples for a possible return to Earth.

The Hope probe launched from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mars mission aims to study the Martian atmosphere and climate. It successfully entered Orbit on Mars on February 9, 2022. The orbiter confirmed the presence of discrete auroras, a highly localized phenomenon of Earth's nocturnal atmosphere, and noted the daily growth and contraction of water-bearing clouds.
