On the morning of January 14, the first meeting of the Ninth Committee of the Shanghai Baoshan District Committee of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference closed at the Conference Center of the Party School of the District Committee after successfully completing the agenda.
Chen Jie, Gao Yiyi, Ding Daheng, Ling Huikang, Li Ping, Zhang Yi, Shen Weimin, Zhang Xiaojing, Shen Tianzhu, Jiang Biyan, Luo Wenjie, Li Lan, Wang Yong, and Yan Chunmin were seated in the front row of the rostrum.
Also seated on the rostrum were Yuan Gang, Hu Baoguo, Qian Liang, Chen Yongxian, Xu Jing, Zheng Yichuan, Chen Yunbin, Qin Bing, Wu Zhihong, Wang Liyan, Xu Huawei, Gong Fengmei, Gu Jin, Cai Yongping, Lu Jun, Zhai Lei, Bao Xiaojun, Zhu Zhongwei, Zhang Xiaoli, Yang Yongqin, and Guan Ming.
The conference was presided over by Ling Huikang. The meeting announced the results of the election: The members of the Standing Committee of the Ninth CPPCC Regional Committee were elected by the congress, and Comrade Ling Huikang was elected chairman of the Ninth CPPCC Committee; according to the order of surname strokes, 5 comrades Wang Yong, Li Lan, Shen Tianzhu, Zhang Xiaojing, and Luo Wenjie were elected as vice chairmen of the Ninth CPPCC Committee; Comrade Yan Chunmin was elected secretary general of the Ninth CPPCC Committee; and Ma Xingzhong and 58 other members were elected as members of the Standing Committee of the Ninth CPPCC Regional Committee. The audience erupted in applause.
Chen Jie, secretary of the district party committee, shook hands with Ling Huikang, newly elected chairman of the district CPPCC committee, and expressed congratulations.
The newly elected chairman, vice chairman, and secretary general of the Ninth CPPCC Regional Committee met with the members.
Ling Huikang delivered a closing speech, in which he said: The new CPPCC regional CPPCC committee will actively carry out its work on the solid foundation laid by the previous cppcc committees, work with the vast number of CPPCC members and all participating units of the CPPCC to work with one heart and one mind, forge ahead in a pioneering spirit, earnestly perform the functions of the CPPCC, inherit and carry forward the good traditions and good work style of the previous regional CPPCC committees, and strive to write a new chapter in the work of the regional CPPCC committees. The CPPCC regional committee should closely focus on the central work of the district party committee and the district government, grasp the correct political direction, and practice its original mission; focus on serving the overall situation of the center, deeply cultivate the main responsibility of the main business; perform its duties, fulfill its duties, do solid work, show its political cooperation deeds, and work with one heart and one mind and one mind and one mind to further create a new situation in the work of the CPPCC with high morale and a pragmatic style.
The meeting also adopted the resolution of the first session of the Ninth CPPCC Regional Committee and informed in writing of the solicitation of proposals during the current session.
