Late at night the fish pond | better for life, change to a TV

In mid-2020, in the early stages of next-generation console sales, I think it's time to give myself a different display device in order to prepare for the next-generation console in advance. But after understanding the various technical details and the direction of display development, I gradually rose from the original "want to change a monitor" to "better to buy a TV". Because at that time, the price of trying to find a 4K, HDR, HDMI 2.1, 120Hz monitor went all the way up, and gradually became comparable to TV. So in the end I bought an LG B9 OLED TV, which not only fully covers the display requirements of next-generation consoles, but also the OLED panel is better in display.

In fact, the first time I bought a TV, it can really be described as a life change for me, and the small rental house has added a lot of life atmosphere because of this 55-inch TV.

Let's take the usual game playing. Originally, I played console games with a regular 1080p monitor attached to my desk, basically at an "OK" level. There is no stereo, and wearing headphones is not bad. But after changing the TV, the living room area that I had snubbed came in handy. Not to mention that this TV can fully release the display effect of PS5, I can now lean on the sofa more relaxed to play games, and some of the back pain during playing games has also been alleviated.

After that, I laid out a big carpet, bought a small square table at IKEA, and a Japanese-style backrest chair and entered the mode of watching dramas and movies on TV. Basically every week at home and abroad there will be episodes or movie updates that I am interested in, especially after the streaming media such as Netflix and Disney+ have become popular, I have more "motivation" to spend money to subscribe to these services to watch the episodes and movies I am interested in at the first time. Compared to the original iPad in the desk to watch, or go home and lie on the bed to watch. As soon as I get home now, I put snacks and drinks in the living room, and it is more ceremonial to sit and turn on the TV, and it is much more comfortable to look at.

In order to make this TV work to the fullest, it also led me to update a wave of peripheral hardware, which is simply a catalyst for the improvement of a happy lifestyle. In order to play 4K HDR or Dolby Vision movies in the best possible way, I bought a Synology NAS storage to play and tossed it as a soft route to help me play Netflix and other streaming media more smoothly.

After learning that the new generation of Apple TV 4K can use eARC HDMI to make homePods the external speaker of the TV, I already have a pair of HomePods, which I think is to help save a set of echo wall money to go with the trend.

Gradually, this home is also more and more a little feeling, actually Apple TV, HomePod I also have or smart home is also arranged. Back downstairs, the air conditioner, humidifier automatically turned on, turn on the door light will also turn on itself, a voice can switch my preset for watching TV, play games preset different lights and color temperature, the sense of atmosphere is full.

It's been less than two years since I settled in, and I want to switch to TV again. As a long-term moonlight player, this time I found a good reason for myself, the original 55 inches is too big for my nest, and the new LG OLED has a 48-inch choice. The small screen is more suitable for playing games, and from the game VRR, AMD FreeSync+Nvidia G-Sync all have it, and the brightness color grading will be better than my current one. As for the price, whether it is the previous generation of LG CX or C1, or CES 2022 just announced LG C2 with the update iteration and the continuous decline in panel prices, it will be cheaper than I originally bought LG B9, sell it I may not lose, and even earn!

"Don't toss it, wouldn't it be nice if you buy a house worthy of a 55-inch TV?" After my friend listened to me say this, he faintly replied to me, "Smart home is tidy up, home appliances, kitchen, bathroom are all tidy, tidy up." That's right, how interesting, I bought one... Isn't it...

"Forget it, when I didn't say it before," I stretched out a little, pretending that all this was a pipe dream that I hadn't slept enough to do.
