Iran releases a mock video of the assassination of Trump: drone attack on a golf course

author:Southern Metropolis Daily

The official website of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei released a simulated video showing a high-tech remote-controlled vehicle maneuvering a drone to launch weapons from the air to "targeted killing" former U.S. President Donald Trump, who was playing golf. The animated video commemorates the second anniversary of the death of senior Iranian general Qasim Suleimani in a drone attack by the US military.

According to a report by British media on January 13, local time, the official website of the Office of the Supreme Leader of Iran released this video on the same day showing that Trump was "attacked" by drones on the golf course of Mar-a-Lago in Florida, USA.

The video scene is similar to a propaganda poster made by Iran last year, which shows Trump also on the golf course, and Iran calls for revenge for the murder of Sulaimani.

At the beginning of the video, an American flag can be seen on the Palm Beach Golf Course in Florida, where Trump wears a ball cap and stands with several other men. The video abruptly switches to a small remote-controlled car equipped with a camera, then switches to a drone operator in the office.

The drone operator had a photo of Soleimani next to his screen, then "hacked in" into a nearby CCTV system and popped up a message that said "Access Rights" — meaning the remote-controlled vehicle could move without being noticed.

The remote-controlled car sped forward on the golf course and headed for Trump. Drone operators managed to hack into the cell phone systems of Trump and another man, and a message appeared that read: "Soleimani's killer and the person who gave the order will pay the price." ”

The drone flew directly past Trump, and as he read the information on his phone, a green box appeared on the surrounding screen. However, the video suddenly switches to a black screen and displays a message: "Revenge will be repaid." ”

On January 3, 2020, the U.S. military dispatched a drone to kill Sulaimani and Abu Mehdi Muhandis, deputy commander of the Iraqi militia "People's Mobilization Organization", outside the International Airport in Baghdad, the Iraqi capital. Iran called the U.S. attack on Soleimani a violation of international law and a "typical crime of state terrorism."

On the 3rd of this month, Iranian President Ibrahim Lehi delivered a speech in Tehran, demanding that the murderers involved in Suleimani's assassination be severely punished. Commemorative activities were held across Iran on the same day to mourn Sulaimani, who was killed in an airstrike by the US military two years ago.

Lehi said at the Tehran memorial meeting that trump, former US Secretary of State Pompeo and others involved in the assassination must be given a fair trial and punished for this shameful act, otherwise, the United States "does not suspect that Iran will retaliate."

Earlier this month, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met with relatives of Soleimani. He said that in the two years since Soleimani's death, the United States has fled Afghanistan, and the "tide of resistance and opposition to arrogance" in the region is stronger than it was two years ago.

Before his death, Sulaimani was the commander of the "Quds Force" under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, and his main work was to strengthen Iran's regional influence and combat the extremist organization "Islamic State". Analysts believe he was killed for helping mobilize against the U.S. military presence in West Asia.

Soleimani has long been identified as a terrorist by the United States and Israel. The U.S. side has previously accused him of providing bomb-making equipment and training to insurgents in the Iraq war, killing hundreds of American soldiers.

Tamil Heyman, a former intelligence chief of the Israel Defense Forces, revealed last month that Israel had been involved in the assassination of Suleimani by the US military. This is the first time that the Israeli government or military leadership has acknowledged Israel's involvement in the assassination that stirred up the situation in the Middle East.

In an interview with the media, Heyman admitted that Israel "played a role" in the assassination of Suleimani by the US military. In Heyman's view, Iran is Israel's "main enemy" and "the assassination of Sulaimani is of great significance."

US media disclosed in May 2021 that Israel had provided key intelligence support to the US military, including multiple mobile phone numbers of Soleimani, to help the US military track.
