This is the gap in the quality of emperors, the same is the difference between people, but the gap between people and people may be very different. It was precisely because of Li Shimin's tolerance that Wu Zetian escaped a disaster, after all, it was already said at that time that "the heroine Wu Wang", if Li Shimin really pursued it, Wu Zetian would definitely die.

Li Shimin has a good horse, named Lion Horse, although the color is good, but this horse has a violent temperament. Once, Li Shimin and his concubines came together to see the horse and asked if anyone had a way to control it. Wu Zetian seized the opportunity in time:

She had been in the palace for ten years and had never been taken seriously, but she had never given up. Whenever she travels through the harem, she has to look for opportunities to change her destiny, until she meets Li Zhi.
Li Shimin was bedridden in his later years and needed someone to take care of him, and the filial piety of Li Zhi would not give in. In order to take care of his father and emperor, Li Zhi even did not return all night, carrying water and feeding medicine without stopping, and Li Zhi also personally sucked abscesses for Li Shimin. In order to facilitate the care of his father, Li Zhi temporarily settled a residence next to him, and at this time Wu Zetian was also taken care of by Li Shimin's side.
On this day, Li Zhi went to the palace to take care of Li Shimin, and happened to run into Wu Zetian, who was busy, and the two of them mixed together with one dry firewood and one fiery fire. On the one hand, we do not rule out that Wu Zetian has the element of deliberately seducing Li Zhi, after all, the opportunity is at hand, as long as he can seize the prince, then the future can be expected.
On the other hand, Li Zhi took care of his father for a long time, and he was also deeply bored, saying that there was no filial piety in front of the bed for a long time, and Li Shimin once advised his son to go out and play, but Li Zhi did not dare to do so for the sake of filial piety, and could only wait by the bedside.
After seeing Wu Zetian, Li Zhi's world hole opened two doors, and the time of taking care of patients would not seem so boring, and even Li Zhi wanted to stay by Li Shimin's side all the time, so that he could often see Wu Zetian.

After Li Shimin's death, this experience came to an end, Li Zhi ascended the throne as emperor, and as a concubine of the former emperor, Wu Zetian could only go to the Ganye Temple and become a nun. However, soon after, because of this relationship, Li Zhi once again summoned Wu Zetian to the harem.

Li Shimin's illness in his later years was called wind disease, which was a genetic disease, and this disease had been tormenting the children of the Li Tang royal family, roughly equivalent to the current stroke, and was a disease that was difficult to cure.

Secondly, during Li Shimin's serious illness, it may cause mental confusion, and since the wind disease he suffers from is a stroke, it is possible that he cannot speak or half of his body cannot move. In other words, there was no way to accurately express his orders, and there was no way to deal with Li Zhi and Wu Zetian. Maybe Li Shimin is aware of it, he may not be able to say it, or he may not be able to move. Li Zhi's throne was almost out of thin air, and in terms of ability, he was inferior to his two older brothers, Li Tai and Li Chengqian. Instead, due to the infighting between Li Tai and Li Chengqian, Li Shimin had to hand over the position of crown prince to Li Zhi.
Of course, there is also the support of important ministers such as the eldest grandson Wuji, so in order to keep the throne, he cannot make a mistake at such a critical moment as taking care of his father. Li Zhi would strictly keep his relationship with Wu Zetian secret, and Wu Zetian would not disclose it to the outside world for the sake of his future future, so we judged that Li Shimin was unaware.
