Mario Kart has always been an evergreen in the racing game on the Switch, but there's another kart rider on the way to join. Chocobo GP, a Final Fantasy-themed go-kart game developed by SE, will be released on Switch on March 25. SE recently posted some new information about the game on social media.
In the latest update on Twitter, SE revealed that the go-kart in the game will contain three different types of branches. The three types will include standard, grip, and speed —each with different data. There are also some differences in appearance.

Take the White Magician Hilma, for example, who has the Mysidia Rabbit (standard model), Mysidia Rabbit Type-S (gripping model), and Mysidia Rabbit Type-R (speed model).
All statistics are displayed on the left. They are subdivided by speed, grip, acceleration, and drift. Regardless of the model, the Mysidia Rabbit used in the example image always features acceleration as its most important performance, while grip is its second-highest data. The statistics for the other two items will change depending on the model selected.
In addition, Chocobo GP will also include a story mode, a 64-player knockout, a time trial and other game modes. There's also a free "Lite" game to try out, and if you have a friend who has a full version of the game, you can even join the multiplayer game directly.
Chocobo GP will go on sale on March 25, with a login to Switch.
