In the first year of Zhongping (184 AD), the Yellow Turban Rebellion broke out, and the Eastern Han Dynasty was in chaos.
Liu Bei, who was not willing to be bland, also pulled up a group of people and horses to participate in the pursuit of deer in the Central Plains, and Guan Yu Zhang Fei, who was powerful in Kong Wu, became his second general, bathed Liu Bei in blood, fought and killed, and independently commanded and participated in many large-scale battles. It can be said that half of the Jiangshan laid down by Liu Bei is Guan Yu's credit.
Liu Beikong had great ambitions, but in the chaotic world of the Three Kingdoms at the end of the Han Dynasty, he worked hard for seventeen years, watching people reach middle age and reviving their flesh, but they never got the gist, and their careers were depressed, not to mention that unifying the rivers and mountains was called lonely, and it was difficult to be even a small warlord who divided one side, running east and west like a guerrilla all day, sending people to the fence, and the future was gray.
It was not until 201 AD that Liu Bei unexpectedly learned of the existence of Zhuge Liang, a high-ranking figure in jingzhou, during his temporary residence in the Jingzhou warlord Liu Biao. Since then, the two have met in the clouds, and the arrival of Zhuge Liang has become the navigator and guide of Liu Bei's road. Zhuge Liang formulated the "Longzhong Pair" for Liu Bei, which became the basic blueprint for Liu Bei to create the Shu Han Dynasty, and the establishment of the Shu Han and the formation of the three kingdoms were inseparable from Zhuge Liang's "Longzhong Pair".
Zhuge Liang and Guan Yu, one article and one martial artist, one general and one phase, are the backbone and core backbone members of Liu Bei's group. Their contributions to the Shu Han dynasty are difficult to distinguish between Bo Zhong. Zhuge Liang is responsible for formulating development routes and steps at a strategic level, while Guan Yu is responsible for specific implementation. Without Zhuge Liang, no matter how powerful Guan Yu's martial arts were, he could only achieve nothing and help nothing. From the perspective of seniority, Guan Yu has the advantage, he has been following Liu Bei since 184, Zhuge Liang only met Liu Bei in 201, in the ancient times of paying attention to seniority, Zhuge Liang's qualifications are obviously slightly inferior.
From the perspective of official status, Zhuge Liang was the highest level of cheng xiang, recorded shang shu, and grasped the major affairs of the military and the country, as the head of the hundred officials of civil and military affairs, one person was above ten thousand people. Before Liu Bei died, he even asked Liu Chan to call Zhuge Liang "Xiang Father", and his status was unmatched. Guan Yu was the highest to achieve the former general before his death, not as good as Zhuge Liang.
But the three words in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms already explain everything. The Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms records that after Liu Bei ascended the throne after the founding of the Shu Han Dynasty, he was greatly enfeoffed as a meritorious man, "Bai Yu was a former general, and he was a false festival". The three words "false knots" are heavier than a thousand jun. The so-called "false festival" is actually equivalent to the emperor granting the power of life and death to a certain minister. The minister who has the power of "false festivals" has the status of "coming in person", and at any time, he has the greatest power to cut first and play later on the civil and military officials.
Zhuge Liang, on the other hand, only obtained the authority of "false festivals". The "false festival", to some extent equivalent to a shrunken version of the "false festival", only has a very limited power to cut first and play later, is ineffective in peacetime, and can only kill military generals who have violated military law and missed military aircraft in wartime. The scope of authority of the two is very different. The emperor's authorization of the ministers was divided into four categories: "false festival, holding festival, envoy holding festival, and false festival", with Zhuge Liang's "false festival" at the end and Guan Yu's "false festival" at the top.
Those who possess "false festivals" also have the exclusive right to kill "festival generals", including those who "fake festivals, hold festivals, and make festivals". In other words, Guan Yu, like Liu Bei, had the power to kill Zhuge Liang. In this way, the deep meaning of Liu Bei's granting of the three words "false festival" to Guan Yu is self-evident, Guan Yu's status and weight in his mind are much higher than Zhuge Liang, and Guan Yu is Liu Bei's most trusted person.
