This person's real name is Lu Yinglin, the character Ruifeng, born in 1894 in Yuanqu, Shanxi, graduated from the fifth period of the Baoding Military Academy, as early as the early twenties mixed into Yan Xishan's troops, from a small company commander to deputy commander of cavalry, participated in the warlord melee, the Northern Expedition War and the Central Plains War and other wars, and repeatedly made military achievements, known as one of the "Thirteen Taibao" under Yan Xishan, and was also the highest-ranking officer under Yan Xishan's mixed shanxi new army.
After the Qiulin Conference in March 1939, Yan Xishan had the idea of dividing and dismembering the Shanxi New Army, and he first ordered the fourth column to be divided into two brigades, the 7th Independent Brigade and the 203rd Brigade, and then ordered the 33rd Regiment to fight guerrilla warfare in southwest Jin alone, while the other five regiments of the fourth column were still active in northwestern Jin, for which Lu Yinglin carried out Yan Xishan's orders to the letter. Wang Yubo, director of the Political Department of the 33rd Regiment, had proposed that the 33rd Regiment should immediately defect to the Second Column of Death, which was also in southwestErn Jin, but this was refused by his superiors.

The consideration of the superiors was that letting Wang Yubo take the 33rd Regiment alone to defect to the Second Column of Death would not only have a great negative impact on the situation of cooperation against Japan, but also allow Yan Xishan to find an excuse to fight back on the same level. But as a result, the superiors still overestimated Yan Xishan's lower limit, and at the end of November 1939, Yan Xishan decided to take the lead, and he secretly sent a secret letter to Lu Yinglin, asking him to pull the 33rd Regiment away as much as possible, and whoever dared to block it would be killed!
Pulling away the 33rd Regiment was not difficult for Lu Yinglin, and the regiment attached Yang Faliang and the three battalion commanders Li Chunfa, Zhao Huaijin, and Yang Zhenhai were all old diehard officers, and once a rebellion occurred, it could be said that it was easy. Therefore, on the afternoon of November 29, after verbally issuing orders to the commanders of the 1st and 3rd battalions and the regiment to defect and leave the regiment, the cunning Lu Yinglin took the regimental special agent platoon to defect to the 33rd Army of the Jinsui Army, and the commander of the 2nd Battalion was not near the regimental headquarters, and Cao Yinxiu, the commander of the 6th Company of the 2nd Battalion, orally conveyed it.
