On January 12, Evergrande officially announced that the first car of Evergrande Automobile Hengchi 5 has officially rolled off the production line, 12 days earlier than the original time. This is the first model launched by Evergrande Automobile, and the first car off the production line means that Hengchi has entered the countdown stage of mass production.

However, some sources said that Hengchi 5 is still in the small batch trial production stage, and now it is only the final assembly of the line, and it is expected that the official mass production will wait until August this year.

It is worth noting that at the beginning of last month, the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology published 350 batches of road motor vehicle products, which were published from November 9 to 16. In the list of new vehicle products in this period, Evergrande has a total of two models, namely the two declared models of HDE6470BEVA1F and HDE6470BEVA0F, both of which are Hengchi 5LX, and the two models only have slight differences in tire specifications. However, on December 7, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" (Batch 350) license announcement two models have been removed.

As the first model launched by Evergrande Automobile, Hengchi 5 was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April last year. Positioned as a pure electric A-class SUV, the new car is equipped with H-type through LED headlights and 21-inch rims, and the length, width and height dimensions of the model are 4725mm/1925mm/1688mm, and the wheelbase is 2780mm. The market price is about 200,000 yuan, and the NEDC cruising range will exceed 700km.

Previously, Evergrande had entered the field of car manufacturing with a high profile, and Xu Jiayin, chairman of the board of directors of Evergrande, also said that the transformation from the real estate industry to the new energy automobile industry would be realized within 10 years. However, with the deepening of Evergrande's debt crisis, Evergrande has also moved its intention to sell Evergrande automobiles. As we all know, car building is an extremely expensive project, and Jia Yueting once towed down the LeTV empire because of car building. Today, whether Evergrande, which has been "shy in the pocket", can still complete the "car-making dream" and realize the mass production delivery of Hengchi 5 first, which is only the first step. In the future, it will also face fierce competition from many mature brand models such as Tesla, BYD, Weilai, and Xiaopeng.
