However, he often remembered the days he had been in the palace, so one day he bought a ticket to see his former home again, however, just as he was touring the Forbidden City, he met Lu Zhonglin, the person who had almost shot him, and his face could not help but change. Who knew that the other party opened his mouth first, jokingly telling him not to be afraid and promise not to kill him.
Puyi was born in 1906, his great-grandfather was the Daoguang Emperor, and his mother was the daughter of Ronglu, a confidant of Empress Dowager Cixi, because the domestic Daxing Pengshu Reform Law Shanghai had royal rights, so cixi and the Guangxu Emperor who supported the change became very stiff, cixi had many times wanted to depose the Guangxu Emperor, which also paved the way for Puyi's succession.
In 1908, the Guangxu Emperor died of illness, and sure enough, Puyi was the next emperor. However, Puyi, who ascended the throne, did not have real power, and most of it was in the hands of Cixi, so until he announced his abdication, he was just a puppet. However, after abdicating, Puyi still enjoys the right to live in the palace, and even has 4 million Feng Lu every year, except for the name of an emperor, even better than the emperor in other countries.
On the evening of October 22, 1924, Feng Yuxiang suddenly returned to Beijing and sent Lu Zhonglin and others the next morning to drive Puyi out of the palace. After receiving the order, Lu Zhonglin and others took a full 40 military police and walked towards the palace. At that time, although Puyi abdicated, it was still the Qing soldiers who guarded the palace gate, and before they could react, they were handed over by Lu Zhonglin.
He led the guards to continue to the main hall, and when they saw Shaoying, Lu Zhonglin and the others made clear their intentions, and showed the instructions of the great president, giving the Ministry of Internal Affairs two hours to move out of the Forbidden City with Puyi and others, and no longer declared themselves emperors.
Who knew that Shao Ying and the others did not want to carry out the order, and delayed it again and again, and finally they rushed to collect their things with Lu Zhonglin's warning to blow up the city gate. After Puyi and the others packed up their things, Lu Zhonglin watched them walk out of the Forbidden City and come to the Palace of Alcohol, thinking that this would be the end.
Who knew that the departure that had been following suddenly got out of the car and pointed a gun at Puyi, and questioned him whether he would be an emperor or a civilian in the future, which frightened Puyi into calling himself a civilian. Seeing Puyi's assurance, Lu Zhonglin and others put down their guns and left, but this also left a shadow on Puyi's heart.
Now, the two of them met again in the Forbidden City, after 37 years, both of them are already white-haired old men, but Puyi is still very nervous when he sees him, and he doesn't know whether to walk over or stand there, only to see Lu Zhonglin say hello first, he came up and put his arm around Puyi's shoulder, joking: Don't be afraid, don't kill you.
Perhaps it is the feeling of the past experience, and it is rare that Lu Zhonglin can be so bold. Under his easing, Puyi also gradually let go of his prejudices, and finally the two took a picture at the door when they left.
