The first disaster puyi encountered in this life was undoubtedly the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty. In 1912, the Xinhai Revolution was successful, and Empress Longyu issued the edict of abdication of the Qing Emperor, and Puyi, who was originally only 6 years old and lived a carefree life, was stripped of the title of emperor.
However, the fall of the Qing Dynasty did not have much impact on Puyi, first, Puyi was still young and did not understand things very well. Another reason is that the Xinhai Revolution was not complete, and the newly established Republic of China government signed the "Preferential Conditions for the Qing Dynasty" with the Qing government, maintaining the aristocratic life of the Qing royal family. What really dealt him a heavy blow was the 1924 Beijing coup d'état, in which Feng Yuxiang forced Wu Peifu to step down, imprisoned President Cao Kun, and abolished the previous "Preferential Conditions for Qing Dynasty". This move completely broke the excellent life in Puyi's palace, and then Feng Yuxiang also sent troops to drive him out of the Forbidden City where he grew up. Puyi had the feeling of being in the market for the first time, this year, he was 18 years old.
To say that the deepest understanding of the changes of the times is Puyi, and Puyi in this period has a deep sense of powerlessness about his fate. He is also actively working to restore his former glory. Unfortunately, he was eventually used by the Japanese military government and became a puppet emperor of the puppet state of Manchukuo.
After the end of World War II, the puppet state of Manchukuo collapsed, and Puyi became a war criminal and imprisoned. After several years in prison in the Soviet Union, Puyi was extradited back to China. It was not until the founding of New China that Puyi lived a normal life.

Who is Lu Zhonglin? In 1924, he served as the commander-in-chief of the Gyeonggi Garrison, the person who personally expelled Puyi from the Forbidden City. He was also the first psychological shadow in Puyi's life.
Why? On November 5, 1924, Lu Zhonglin escorted Puyi out of the Forbidden City and came to the vicinity of the Ganshi Bridge in Houhai. Suddenly, Lu Zhonglin aimed his gun at Puyi. This frightened Puyi, who stood where he was for a long time and did not dare to move.
Later, Lu Zhonglin said, "In the future, will you call yourself emperor or a commoner?" If it is only ordinary people, I and other soldiers have the responsibility to protect you, if you still want to be the emperor, the Republic of China does not tolerate the existence of the emperor, I can only shoot you! Hearing Lu Zhonglin's words, Puyi quickly promised that he was only a citizen of the Republic of China, and Lu Zhonglin let him go and parted ways with him.
This was also the first time that Puyi was facing a life and death decision, and it was no wonder that Lu Zhonglin had left such a big psychological shadow on him. When they met again, Puyi had fulfilled his promise as an ordinary citizen at that time, and he decided to go forward and say hello to Lu Zhonglin.
