It is understood that the novel describes the eleventh year of the Qing Dynasty (1885), a drought occurred in the Qiongshan area of Badi (present-day Ganzi Danba County), and the people's livelihood was difficult. However, instead of helping the victims, the Badi native woman Briram intensified her cruel exploitation of the people. In the twelfth year of the Qing Dynasty (1886), thousands of serfs in badia, led by Degam Kaburong, staged a rebellion, overthrew the rule of the native women, abolished the Ula Cha, averaged land wealth, and dealt a heavy blow to the brutal ruling class. Bai Liram absconded to fight the arrow furnace (present-day Kangding), asked minzheng Tusi and the Qing army for help, and the rebellious serfs and Qing troops fought a bloody battle, but finally because they were outnumbered, the uprising failed miserably.

This serf revolt, known in history as the "Qiongshan Rebellion" or the "Kalong Incident", was a serf uprising with great influence in Tibetan history, which was recorded in the Ganzi Prefecture Chronicle and the Danba County Chronicle. The novel also shows the unique history, culture and customs of the Jiarong Tibetan people, and is an "encyclopedia" of Tibetan history and culture.

Jiarong Yundeng was born in Ganzi Danba County, Sichuan Province, and has long worked in the propaganda department and the Federation of Literature and Literature, and his works have been scattered in publications such as "Reader" and "Ethnic Groups", and have been selected into the "Selection of Outstanding Literary Works for the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of Kangzang Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture", "Heavenly Pastoral Song and Kangba Literary Newcomer Volume", and edited and published a number of "Kangding History and Culture Series".
