How hard is it for a nurse to get a "good pregnancy"?

Guide

Last year, the country opened up three children to encourage fertility, and the heat of discussion has always been at the top of the list of major forums. Seeing the news, my heart was full of mixed feelings, leaving aside the economic and energy costs of raising children, as a nurse, the pregnancy thing was already bumpy. In the eyes of outsiders, we are professionals, and it is much easier to prepare for pregnancy, pregnancy, childbirth, and nurturing than others.

The truth is that in an environment like a hospital, it's really not so easy, and the reasons are that please listen to me one by one:

First, stay up late, three shifts system

Nurses work three shifts is enough to consume energy, at least one round of large and small night shifts every week, most people stay up for several years, their physique declines, "feel that the body is hollowed out", often unable to do enough. And fertility is the need for a good physical foundation, regular work and rest, diet for nurses is a luxury, "eugenics and fertility" principles are understood, but subject to objective conditions.

What is even more helpless is that after pregnancy, it is still required to stay up late as before pregnancy, many colleagues because of the instability of the fetus in the first three months of pregnancy, coupled with staying up late, they all have threatened miscarriage, and there are lucky ones who eventually give birth to healthy babies, and there are many unfortunate people who lose their children, which is a double huge blow to any woman. Holding up the pregnant belly, enduring pregnancy, busy in the ward late at night, until 7 months, you can not stay up late, sometimes patients can not bear this scene. If it is a double-post night shift, there is a person to help, if it is a person, think of that moment, a pregnant woman who needs the most care is facing a patient who needs first aid, that anxiety and passivity. Still have to one hand ECG monitoring, the other hand bolus pump rushed forward, if you guard the patient, but can not protect their children, such a sacrifice, this great, few people can bear.

Second, ubiquitous rays

The environment of the hospital is actually not conducive to pregnant women, not to mention that people come and go everywhere with bacteria, and the patients you take over may be tuberculosis or AIDS, but you have no choice, you still have to treat it seriously. Some infectious diseases we can protect ourselves by protecting ourselves, but the rays in the hospital can sometimes not be hidden. For example, when a critically ill patient does CT, it is necessary to have a nurse around to care for patients who have undergone particle radiation, and to receive patients who have just finished PET-CT... We can't wear heavy lead clothes like radiologists, so we can't perform nursing care, knowing that radiation hurts the body, but how many pregnant nurses have to touch, while beating a drum in their hearts, while secretly praying that the rays will not hurt the baby.

In addition to radiation, there are also chemotherapy drugs. Nurses in the oncology department should have the most experience, some hospital hardware conditions are better, there are special configuration warehouses for the configuration of chemotherapy drugs, and some can only be configured in the ordinary treatment room, even if they wear gloves, but the particles of chemotherapy drugs suspended in the air, we can not see with the naked eye, many times only self-deception, self-comfort.

Third, the tense doctor-patient relationship

This is a cliché, although most people are now reasonable, can understand the hardships of medical staff, and even nurses who are pregnant and still on duty often express sympathy. However, there are still many unreasonable "diao people", which make people angry and "angry and rush to the crown". The importance of emotional stability to pregnant women is self-evident, when raising a fetus requires us to "open only one eye, close only one eye", do not worry about people, and the sense of professional morality and responsibility requires us to correct and guide in time to convince people. So inner contradictions or conflicts of facts are happening. In the face of unreasonable demands, the accusation of splitting the head and covering the face, pregnant women must learn to breathe deeply, constantly advise themselves to "not be angry", the inner grievances are doubled, unconsciously they are angry and crying, but they blame themselves for not controlling their emotions. It can only be said that it is really too difficult.

4. Endless examinations and conferences

The heavy lifting of work and complex interpersonal relationships often exhaust nurses. But the nursing department will not let you have the opportunity to breathe, continuous morning meetings, small talks, examinations, science meetings, take turns to bombard, prepare for the small talk, you must prepare for the round, do a good job of rounds and have operational assessments... Day after day, the nurses are awake, the time in the dream, are all patients, all exams, who knows this sadness?

Nurses return home from their night shifts and have to work hard to prepare for exams and rounds. How do you get a good rest for the nurses? It is said that only when medical staff are safe, patients are safe. Pregnant women because of hormones and physical changes, the response to decline, sleep needs are greater, if you can not get a good rest, medical staff, patients may be on the verge of "medical malpractice", making both sides in a dangerous situation.

Saying this, it is because the medical staff is pregnant and gives birth to a child is simply experiencing "ninety-nine eighty-one difficulties". If the hospital can improve the system of protecting and caring for pregnant nurses, such as not working the night shift in the first 3 months of pregnancy, establishing a pregnant woman care team, etc., employees will better return to the hospital with professionalism and professionalism.

The nurses' collective is mostly women, all know the difficulties of childbearing, girls help girls, if the hospital and the system can't protect us, we have to unite, protect ourselves, take care of each other.
