Chongqing, 11 Jan (China News Network) -- The "Tiger Blessing Shenzhou" exhibition of the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum's New Year Cultural Series Exhibition was launched locally on 11 January. 150 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics related to the "tiger" were unveiled, bringing a cultural journey of "adding wings like a tiger" to the general public.
2022 is the Year of the Tiger in the lunar calendar. In nature, the tiger is the "chief of a hundred beasts", often inhabiting mountains and forests, is an endemic species in Asia, and is an important part of biodiversity. The mighty, brave and majestic tiger is memorable, and it is the auspicious beast in traditional Chinese culture, from the "king of the mountain" to the tiger of the totem, the white tiger, the fuhu tiger, the tiger of the town house, and the costume of the "tiger head and tiger brain", people talk about tigers, worship tigers, carve tigers, draw tigers, cut tigers... It has formed a very distinctive Chinese tiger culture.

Du Zhiming, curator of the exhibition and research librarian of the Research Department of the China Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing, introduced that the exhibition has been planned since June 2021, and the 150 pieces (sets) of exhibits presented to the public this time include bronzes, pottery, calligraphy and painting, rubbings, New Year paintings, tiger head shoes and tiger head hats, aiming to create a happy atmosphere for the citizens in the Year of the Tiger, so that the citizens can better understand the tiger culture in traditional Chinese culture while watching the exhibition.
The reporter saw at the scene that the exhibition was divided into four chapters: "Tiger tiger shengwei tribal rejuvenation", "like a tiger adding wings and doing things together", "fierce tiger out of the mountains and home security", "tiger roaring wind and life auspicious".

Tiger canine teeth and tiger teeth in the Neolithic period, the Western Han Dynasty gilded tiger eating sheep copper buckle excavated from the cemetery of the Small Three Gorges Cement Factory in Wushan, Chongqing, the Warring States bronze tiger button excavated from Xiaotianxi in Fuling, Chongqing, the Warring States script tiger pattern bronze ge excavated from Lijiaba in Yunyang, Chongqing, the lamp base of the Eastern Han Dynasty Queen Mother excavated from the rock tomb in Mianyang, Sichuan, the Eastern Han Dynasty "Qing gai" inscription Dragon and Tiger pattern mirror unearthed from the Sichuan Neijiang Oil Si'ao, the Qingyu Fuhu pattern plate decoration in the Song Dynasty, the Tiger Buddha Litu painted by Zhang Shanzi in the Republic of China period, the Shaanxi Town House God Tiger Year Painting in the Republic of China period, and the Shanghai Color Printing Wu Cai God Year Painting , Chongqing Fulu Fortune God Year Painting... And so on, a number of precious cultural relics were all unveiled.
It is reported that the exhibition will last until March 20, 2022. (End)
