Microsoft and Sony have both previously introduced gamepads for people with disabilities, and Microsoft has even issued a new Xbox controller with fully customized keys. Folk wisdom is also shining, and recently some players have designed a PS5 controller that can be easily played with only one hand, using 3D printing to land.
YouTube blogger Akaki Kuumeri, the designer of the handle, took part in an online competition organized by PrusaPrinters to design non-destructive game controller accessories for people with disabilities.
Kuumeri released a video showing how he used a modified DualSense controller to play games like Rocket League, Dragon 0, And Rogue XXX. In fact, this handle uses the external force of the leg or table to squeeze the rubber at the bottom to control the direction. The L key of the DualSense has been moved to the right, and the player can hold down L2 and R2 to shoot.
Kuumeri originally designed the gamepad not for people with disabilities, but just for one person to play a co-op game, such as "Two-Player Trip", in which he shows the specific gameplay.
Inspired by a model by Ben Heckendorn, an online repair and electronics manufacturer, Kuumeri designed this one-handed handle. The handle wasn't in production, but he posted a link in his Tubing video to help those in need print their own handles, including the left-handed and right-handed versions.
