The Fourth Field Army was the main force of our army during the Liberation War, participated in the Liaoshen Campaign and the Pingjin Campaign among the three major battles, and later swept through most of China, making outstanding contributions to the founding of New China. The 38th Army, the 39th Army, and the 54th Army, the "three ace armies" of our army, were all born out of the Fourth Field Army. Not only that, the Fourth Field Army was also a brilliant general, and there were founding generals such as Marshal Luo Ronghuan, General Xiao Jinguang, General Li Tianyou, General Zhao Erlu, and General Liu Yalou. Liang Bingzhi, formerly a work department directly under the General Political Department, was also a famous general who came out of the Fourth Field Army.
Liang Bingzhi was born in October 1925 in Leling County, Shandong Province. In the war years of war, Liang Bingzhi's originally poor family was even worse. In the early years of Liang Bingzhi, he witnessed the ups and downs of Zhang Zongchang and Han Fuqu. Although Han Fuqu contributed to the development and construction of the Qilu land, at the critical juncture of the eastern Ying disaster, he abandoned the Yellow River defense line, resulting in Shandong falling into the hands of the enemy.
In 1939, at the age of 14, Liang Bingzhi joined the Eighth Route Army and became an ordinary soldier. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Shandong was the front line of our army's operations, and there were struggles everywhere and from time to time. On the eve of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Liang Bingzhi was already a grass-roots commander with rich experience in actual combat.
During the Liberation War, Liang Bingzhi successively served as the deputy battalion commander of the 6th Column Guard Battalion of the Northeast Field Army and the commander of the Guard Battalion of the 43rd Army of the Fourth Field Army. It is worth mentioning that the first commander of the 43rd Army was Hong Xuezhi, who was not only awarded the rank of general in 1955, but also in 1988, known as the "six-star general".

In June 1985, Liang Bingzhi was appointed Minister of work directly under the General Political Department. The Department of Work Directly Under the General Government is mainly responsible for the political work, administrative management, material support, organization and coordination of the units directly under the internal organs of the General Political Department, which is equivalent to a logistics department and is a regular military unit.
In September 1988, Liang Bingzhi was awarded the rank of lieutenant general. It is worth mentioning that the benchmark rank of senior generals in the regular military rank is the rank of major general, which is also an auxiliary rank at the rank of deputy military officer and division, while the rank of lieutenant general is the benchmark rank of the deputy military district, and the auxiliary rank of the main military post and the main military district post.
