"Journey to the Secret Realm" was released in Beijing to take readers to read Shen Yun Jilin

People's Daily Beijing, January 10 (Reporter Liu Yingying) On the eve of the Beijing Winter Olympics, Jilin: Land of Mystery, an English book telling the story of Cultural Tourism in Jilin Province, "Journey to the Secret Place", was published by the Commercial Press.

"Secret Journey" is co-authored by more than a dozen professional travel writers, journalists and editors. The foreign team comes from Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, New Zealand 5 countries, are international senior media people who have lived in China for many years and understand Chinese culture. The creative team has visited all parts of Jilin, from volcanic landforms to ice and snow rime, from animal protection to border customs, from shamanic culture to northeast customs, from food and drink to ski vacations, from red flag cars to film cradles, from old industrial bases to new era science and technology towns... Many of the lesser-known stories in the book were presented to the world for the first time in English. Created by Chinese and foreign experts, and reviewed by experts from history, literature, ecology, diplomacy and other parties, the book is accurate in information, rich in knowledge and has high cultural value.

At the launch ceremony, Yang Andi, director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jilin Province, said in a video speech: "How to make the Qingqi of Jilin Landscape, the Tranquility of the Forest, the Qingxin of the Countryside, the Qing alcohol of culture, the elegance of life, and the fragrance of the tip of the tongue can be shared with the vast number of friends at home and abroad, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jilin Province joined hands with the Commercial Press to explore the hinterland of Northeast China from an international perspective, and to excavate and tell those fascinating Jilin stories in authentic English, "Secret Journey" came into being. ”

Gu Qing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Director of the Commercial Press, said in his speech that this year marks the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Commercial Press, and "Journey to the Secret Place" is the first book we have bloomed in the new spring. He believes that this book is far more than a tourist manual, it uses a beautiful and condensed language to write Jilin, the text is beautiful, the pictures are exquisite, it is a rare variety of books, and hopes that such a book will continue to be done.

Liu Jue, the responsible editor of the book, introduced the content features and highlights of the book, shared the process of the Chinese and foreign teams wading through the mountains and waters in Jilin through video, showed the aerial photography of Jilin scenery taken by the film crew with drones, and the comments and recommendations of many experts at home and abroad on the book.

The book's contributor, Sam Davies from the United Kingdom, shared his feelings about going to Jilin three times, believing that Jilin is the best ski resort in China, while Hatty Liu, a writer from Canada, talked about the interesting things that happened during the writing process, saying that he would return to Jilin again to visit more ethnic areas and taste more Jilin cuisine.
