Today we want to talk about the two protagonists, the founding emperor of the Song Dynasty Zhao Kuangyin and the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty Zhu Yuanzhang, the two are separated by more than 400 years, what is the connection? Zhao Kuangyin himself was a family of martial generals, and he was not a cultural person, not to mention Zhu Yuanzhang, who was born as a farmer himself and did not go to school much when he was a child.
However, regardless of the cultural level of the ancient emperors, they were very interested in spring flowers and autumn moons and poetry. Yearning for the elegance of the literati is the norm, and in ancient society, regardless of status is the norm. History has indeed seen such an interesting thing, Song Taizu composed half a poem, and no one in the next four hundred years could continue the second half, but in the Ming Dynasty, it was supplemented by Zhu Yuanzhang. Zhao Kuangyin, the founding emperor of the Song Dynasty, was born as a military general, so the level of poetry was average, but after becoming an emperor, some occasions inevitably needed the emperor's vassals to be elegant.
One year during the Mid-Autumn Festival, after Zhao Kuangyin drank two more cups, he wrote a poem. He looked at a full moon, holding a glass of turbid wine, the inspiration came and could not stop it, and said half a poem: not far from the seabed thousands of mountains, only to the heavens in the middle of the world, the ministers heard these two poems, they were shocked by these two magnificent verses, they all applauded, if the ministers did not applaud, maybe Zhao Kuangyin would come up with the second half of the poem.
The minister with the eyes hurried to say that these two poems were really well done, and no one could pick up the last two sentences. So the poem has only been two sentences. More than four hundred years have passed, and Zhu Yuanzhang, the ancestor of the Ming Dynasty, accidentally saw two poems written by Zhao Kuangyin, as if he had found Zhiyin. Because Zhao Kuangyin's two sentences are preaching and the country, talking about internal and external cultivation. Zhu Yuanzhang was also very interested in these, so he wrote the last two sentences: Perseverance in this ambition to become Yongzhi, hundred battles to open the Taiping. He was praised by the Ministers of the DPRK.
