The Dongguan Municipal Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang submitted the "Proposal on Integrating Relevant Collection Resources and Building the Jiang Guangnai Museum at a High Level", calling for attention to the collection of collections and promoting the construction progress of the museum, so as to carry forward the patriotic spirit and create a patriotic education business card in Dongguan.
Status: The collection work is facing difficulties, and the progress of museum construction is affected
Li Lixiang, Lan Guangming, and Liu Lei, members of the Dongguan Cppcc Committee from the Dongguan Municipal Committee of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee, jointly submitted the above proposal. In the proposal, the committee members introduced that with the strong support of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, the Humen town party committee and town government actively prepared to build the Jiang Guangnai Museum. Since the construction of the museum began in 2017, a total of more than 7 million yuan has been invested to complete the construction of the museum land acquisition and the main building, with a construction area of 1552 square meters and an exhibition area of more than 700 square meters, and it is expected to complete the interior decoration of the museum within this year.
It has been learned that Jiang Guangnai was a native of Nanzha, Humen, Dongguan, and was also the commander-in-chief of the famous anti-Japanese campaign of the "1.28 Songhu War of Resistance." As a patriotic education base, the former residence of Jiang Guangnai in Humen Town is visited by many citizens and tourists every year.
In 2019, the former residence of Jiang Guangnai was approved as a national key cultural relics protection unit, in order to effectively do a good job in protection, management and utilization, and achieve inheritance and development in the protection and utilization, Humen Town continued to increase the collection and collection of collections, and sent personnel to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Fuzhou and other cities in batches to collect and copy more than 300 copies of relevant archival historical materials, 283 video materials, and more than 20 books. At the same time, the exhibition outline has been continuously revised and improved, and after repeated review by the descendants of the Chiang family and experts in literature and history, the exhibition outline is now close to completion.
The premise of high-level construction of museums requires a rich collection. Since the establishment of the Jiang Guangnai Museum in 2017, the Humen Cultural Relics and Culture Management Department has collected relevant collections from the society through various channels and achieved certain results. However, the collection work faced many difficulties, and the effect was not ideal, which directly affected the construction progress of the museum.
The committee members said that after years and many efforts, more than 110 pieces (sets) of collections have been collected, and more than 80 pieces (sets) of weapons models, commemorative badges, and various types of clothing have been copied, "but the current number of collections is far from meeting the needs of museum display, nor can it meet the minimum requirements of 300 pieces of the provincial museum association, and the lack of collections has become the biggest obstacle restricting the high-level construction of Jiang Guangnai Museum." ”
In addition, due to the relatively distant age of Mr. Jiang Guangnai's life, there are fewer items directly related to him, and the collections collected by the public and through various channels are uneven. The limited source of collections and the inability to effectively collect a sufficient number of collections in a short period of time have become a significant bottleneck in the construction of museums.
Recommendation: Allocate collection resources from higher-level museums to strengthen resource sharing between provincial and municipal museums
In this regard, the committee members suggested that the collection resources in the city could be integrated, and the collections of the city museum could be transferred to enrich the collection resources of the Jiang Guangnai Museum. It is understood that Mr. Jiang Guangnai's descendants donated the relevant collections to the Dongguan Museum in three batches in 1988, 2018 and 2021, with a relatively large number, "It is suggested that according to the relevant provisions of the Cultural Relics Protection Law, combined with the actual work needs, the relevant collections will be allocated to the Jiang Guangnai Museum for exhibition, so as to give full play to the social benefits of the relevant collections while improving the exhibition level of the Jiang Guangnai Museum." ”

The committee members also suggested that further support could be given to the collection of the Jiang Guangnai Museum.
