Once, Zhu Yuanzhang and Liu Bowen played chess, suddenly came to inspiration, casually said a shanglian: tianzuo chessboard stars, sun and moon for glory. Liu Bowen, who was full of poetry books, thought about it for a while, and then came out of the next link: Lei is the flag of the war drum and electricity, and the wind and clouds will be met.

According to folklore, once after retiring from the dynasty, the group of ministers was preparing to go home from work, Zhu Yuanzhang thought of a shanglian, so he said to the ministers in the hall: "All the Aiqing stayed, Shuo just thought of a shanglian, I don't know which of you can go out of the lower league." The group of ministers listened attentively, and Zhu Yuanzhang gave the next link as: Lao Tzu is the first in the world. Everyone looked at each other, and none of them dared to try, after all, they all understood the emperor's temper and would rather not be praised than be the head bird.
At this moment, a courtier came out and smiled at the next link: Sun Tzu is unparalleled in the world. It has to be said that compared with the upper league, the lower link is not only neat to the battle, but also quite domineering. Just as his colleagues were about to applaud him, Zhu Yuanzhang suddenly shouted: "Come on, pull him out and cut him." This incident is not recorded in the main history, but it is only a wild history rumor, and the authenticity of the matter cannot be determined.
