This scene is like an external flower arrangement paragraph that is outside the entire plot, in addition to leaving the stem of "the equipment of my battalion" between Chu Yunfei and Li Yunlong, it also reflects the historical fact that the Kuomintang and the Jin Sui Army "surrendered" during the stalemate stage of the War of Resistance Against Japan. However, if you delete this scene from "Bright Sword", it is actually not a big deal.
Another thing that has to be said is that many viewers will have a doubt when watching this scene, Qian Bojun's department has a small number of two thousand horses, and Chu Yunfei's belt to Qian Bojun's camp headquarters is just a guard squad plus a few personal guards. The two sides directly started fighting after Qian Bojun's battalion headquarters turned their faces, and under such a huge disparity in strength, why was Chu Yunfei able to retreat with his whole body, and finally even single-handedly caught up with Qian Bojun and killed him.
Isn't this scene a bit of a god?
In my opinion, this is really not a god, for three reasons:
First, the reality of the situation
Although Qian Bojun had a small number of two thousand men and horses, it was impossible for the villages in that area northwest of Jin to have two thousand people stationed in a village, and a village could at most put down Qian Bojun's battalion headquarters and battalion directly subordinate troops, which was quite a lot. Li Yunlong's independent regiment also put down a regimental headquarters in Zhao Jiayu and added some directly subordinate troops, and if every regiment lived in a village, Yamamoto Kazuki would not dare to sneak attack.
Looking at Chu Yunfei again, although there were only a few guards and a guard squad around him at most, don't look at the small number of people, but the quality of these dozen people can be called the strongest wave of people in the 358 Regiment, and they also have the best automatic weapons and are well-equipped.
Therefore, under the contrast between the two, if Chu Yunfei and his guard squad occupied Qian Bojun's battalion headquarters, they would rely on Qian Bojun's battalion headquarters and the men and horses of the directly subordinate troops, and they would really not be able to take down Chu Yunfei in a short period of time.
In history, there are countless examples of such elite small units holding on to the enemy's large troops according to danger, and Li Yunlong and Zhao Gang led a company to block the attack of a Japanese company in a small village.
The battle between Li Yunlong and Zhao Gang had a prototype, the historical Battle of Songzhuang, the two companies of the left leaf of the Eighth Route Army were surrounded by two brigades of the Japanese army in Songzhuang, and after a day of fighting between the two sides, the Eighth Route Army successfully broke through at night.

Second, the relationship between Chu Yunfei and Qian Bojun
Some readers may have doubts, even if Chu Yunfei and his guard squad occupy favorable terrain, don't forget that Qian Bojun still has cannons, and if you don't charge and throw shells, you can blow up Chu Yunfei's dozen or so people half to death.
In fact, not only the audience thought of it, the director thought of it, Qian Bojun also thought of it, he directly ordered the mortar gunner to bombard the battalion headquarters, but was rejected by the gunner, and Qian Bojun even forced the gunner to fire with a pistol. However, before the shells could be put in, Li Yunlong's cavalry over there was killed.
The reason why the gunner did not open the cannon was a question, what is the relationship between Chu Yunfei and Qian Bojun? According to the warlord habits prevalent in the Kuomintang troops, this made it difficult for the soldiers of a battalion to behave. It can be said that the warlord habits in the Kuomintang troops almost harmed Chu Yunfei, but at the same time, the existence of these warlord habits also saved Chu Yunfei, and those Qian Bojun's men could not beat Chu Yunfei to death, and the best way to do it when they could not figure out what the situation was was to protect themselves, stay on the line of work, and meet them in the future.
In fact, the melee between many warlords in the Republic of China period is also this virtue, the front line fired a few shots, sometimes not as effective as the wins and losses on the mahjong table in the rear.
Third, the prototype of the story
There are many plots in "Bright Sword" that are either adapted from historical prototypes or adapted from other film and television dramas, such as the scene where Chu Yun flew to the door to denounce Qian Bojun's dangerous poisoning, and its prototype is likely to come from another war movie" "Baise Uprising".
Li Mingrui was the commander of the 15th Division of the Gui Clan, the main force of this division was the 40th Brigade, Li Mingrui had been the brigade commander of the 40th Brigade, and later when he became the commander of the division, he promoted his old subordinate Huang Quan to be the commander of the 40th Brigade.
However, when Yu Zuobai and Li Mingrui swore to oppose Chiang Kai-shek, two of their three divisions defected to Chiang Kai-shek, and the 40th Brigade was also dangerous. So Li Mingrui led the guard squad to personally inspect the brigade headquarters of the 40th Brigade, but did not want to find out that Huang Quan had indeed betrayed, Li Mingrui was furious, but it was also irreparable, and he took people to leave.
Unexpectedly, on the way back, Huang Quan sent someone to ambush Li Mingrui, and if the receiving troops had not arrived just in time, the fierce general Li Mingrui might not have been able to return.
If you take a closer look at Chu Yunfei and Qian Bojun in "Bright Sword", and then look at Li Mingrui and Huang Quan in "Baise Uprising", you will find that the two plots are highly similar.
Coincidentally, in addition to the "Baise Uprising", similar bridges are also found in real history, the most typical of which is Guo Songling's defection.
Guo Songling was the most elite deputy commander of the Third Army under Zhang Zuolin, he led more than 70,000 people under his command to return to Shenyang with one blow, because Guo Songling's troops were the most elite troops of the Fengzhi warlords, so the other Fengzhi troops were not Guo Songling's opponents at all, so Guo Songling fought near Shenyang in one fell swoop, forcing Zhang Zuolin to escape for a while.
However, at a critical moment, the Japanese Kwantung Army supported Zhang Zuolin, and at the same time Zhang Xueliang launched a large-scale propaganda campaign against Guo Songling's department: the Zhang family would not fight the Zhang family.
