But it was not long before Ye Ting, who was already an important member of the party at that time, went to the Soviet Union to study because of the needs of the organization, and the two would be separated, and in order to show his sincerity to Li Xiuwen, Ye Ting proposed to Li Xiuwen before leaving.
Li Xiuwen is naturally willing, but as a bridesmaid, marriage must seek the consent of parents. The invasion of China by Japanese imperialism triggered a wave of nationwide war of resistance. The Kuomintang and the Communists once again agreed with each other, and Ye Ting became the commander of the New Fourth Army. The greater the ability, the greater the responsibility, and after becoming a military commander, Ye Ting often needed to go south and north to engage in guerrilla warfare with Japan, often sleeping and forgetting food, and having no food and clothing.
As a wife, Li Xiuwen is naturally very distressed, she can only try to share the worries of her husband in her life, although she was born rich but has no complaints. At that time, Ye Ting's troops lacked equipment, so Li Xiuwen used his mother's savings to buy 3,600 guns for the troops, solving the urgent needs of the New Fourth Army.

Li Xiuwen maintained her life by going out to set up stalls and doing odd jobs, and although she lived a very hard life, at least one family could live together. It's just that such a time is not long, Ye Ting soon needs to change the detention center, and Li Xiuwen is inconvenient to go together because she is pregnant, and finally Ye Ting takes 3 children away, and the couple is separated again.
Until the Kuomintang defeated Taiwan, Ye Ting finally regained his freedom in 1946 through the efforts of our party, when Ye Ting's ninth child had also been born, and the couple cried with joy when they reunited.

The Ye Ting family was invited to Yan'an, along with their youngest daughter and son, and the plane suddenly crashed during the flight, leaving none of the crew alive.
Ye Ting and his wife have come from knowing and loving each other to the present, the most bitter days have survived but unfortunately lost their lives in a plane, it is really regrettable, both husband and wife are revolutionary martyrs with family and country feelings, and should be remembered by those of us who will be remembered forever.
