On January 6, the reporter learned from the Sinopec Information Office that the first hydrogen testing laboratory in China, the Sinopec Xiwanzi Hydrogen Testing Laboratory, was officially put into operation in Chongli, Hebei Province. The laboratory can complete the detection of 13 typical indicators of fuel cell hydrogen, which will provide strong technical support for ensuring the safety and reliability of hydrogen energy quality in the Winter Olympics and help the "Green Winter Olympics".

It is understood that the vehicle hydrogen fuel cell has high requirements for hydrogen quality, and the quality of hydrogen is directly related to the use performance and life of the vehicle. The national standard GB/T 37244-2018 "Hydrogen for Fuel Fuel Vehicles with Proton Exchange Membrane" implemented in July 2019 requires a hydrogen purity of 99.97%, and has strict regulations and restrictions on the content of 13 impurities such as carbon monoxide and formaldehyde in hydrogen.

Sinopec Xiwanzi Hydrogen Testing Laboratory was established in September 2021, completed acceptance in December 2021, covers an area of about 40 square meters, has 5 sets of professional detection instruments such as meteorological chromatograph and optical cavity decay instrument, from the sampling of hydrogenation guns in the station to the completion of typical index detection, the whole process takes only 2 hours. At present, the laboratory has the ability to identify and detect impurity molecules in fuel hydrogen. During the construction process, Sinopec Group Corporation and its affiliated Petrochemical Research Institute developed a detection method suitable for trace impurities in high-purity hydrogen, forming a complete 13 impurity analysis methods covering the strict provisions of national standards.

Sinopec Hebei Chongli Xiwanzi Hydrogen Refueling Station is one of the four hydrogen refueling stations of Sinopec serving the Winter Olympics, only 15 kilometers away from the Zhangjiakou Competition Area of the Winter Olympic Games, and is an important transportation hub for entering the competition area. The station has a daily hydrogen supply capacity of 1,000 kg and is equipped with 2 hydrogen refueling machines, which can simultaneously meet the refueling needs of 35 MPa and 70 MPa hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. During the Winter Olympics, the station will provide services for 35 MPa hydrogen buses, 70 MPa hydrogen minibuses and other Winter Olympic vehicles, as well as logistics trucks, hydrogen sweepers and other hydrogen vehicles.
