In the text of the Red Chamber, the corresponding to the "golden jade marriage" is the "wooden stone marriage". If you only look at the front of the Fengyue Baojian, you will often regard the two as the existence of incompatible opposites, of which there seem to be very few people who question the "marriage of wood and stone", and there seem to be many people who hold the "golden jade marriage" as a fiction of the Xue family.
The so-called "golden jade marriage" is a fictional statement of the Xue family, based on the so-called clues in the text, for the details in the text that are not conducive to this theory, either selectively ignored or forcibly justified, for example, after the forty-second time bao Dai merged into one, Dai Yu and Bao Chao became intimate and called sisters, for Aunt Xue, Dai Yu also respected her mother, just like Bao Chao, and there was even a plot in the text of "Aunt Ci's love language comforting the idiot" (the fifty-seventh time), so those who insisted on this statement interpreted that Dai Yu was blinded by the Xue family's mother and daughter , was sold to help the number of people money.
However, without mentioning Daiyu's talented and talented poems, let's say that when she first entered jia province, she was still young, and she knew that "step by step, always caring", in the treatment of people and things, generous in speech, proper manners, fully demonstrated everyone's bridesmaid demeanor. I would like to ask, who can have Daiyu's mind of such a "self-imposed" (lipid batch) at such a young age? If such a person is deceived and someone sees it, can it be proved that he is smarter than Daiyu? And did he himself have enough confidence that he was indeed smarter than Daiyu? You know, the author's setting of Daiyu's character is "more than a know-how of the heart than dry", and finally it was mistaken by cleverness, "hanging in the jade belt forest", and died in tears in the era that did not belong to him.
In fact, under careful consideration, wood and stone are the predecessors of eryu, and "golden jade marriage" is the future ending of erbao, ancient and modern, the predecessor is only a legend, even if there is a predecessor, who can really say their predecessor, therefore, the absurdity of the "wood and stone marriage" is far greater than the "golden jade marriage"; the absurdity of the baoyu jade is far greater than that of Baochao's jin yongluo and "cold incense pills" prescriptions, in the real world, until today, there will occasionally be monks and nuns appearing, doing similar activities with Jin Yongluo and "cold incense pills" prescriptions. Of course, most of the time it is to deceive people of money, whether it can be magical, naturally it is another matter, therefore, the Xue family's statement has a considerable degree of rationality, and the Jia family's statement, no one is born of jade, and the jade is actually engraved on it?!
The absurdity of "wood and stone marriage" is far greater than that of "golden and jade marriage", and the absurdity of baoyu's birth is far greater than Baochao's golden jewelry and "cold incense pill" prescription, so can we also rely on the gourd to reverse prove that "wood and stone marriage" is actually a "masterpiece" of Eryu, and "golden jade marriage" is more likely to be fictionalized by the Jia family?
1. "Marriage of Wood and Stone"
Compared with the Xue family and Xue Baochao, Dai Yu has no father and no mother, no brothers and sisters, lonely and bitter, in the Rong Guo Mansion, "there is nothing, eating and wearing, a grass and a paper, all the same as their girls, that villain is not much suspicious" (the forty-fifth time Dai Yu to Bao Chao), but once she becomes Bao Yu's wife, she is the new hostess of Rong Guo Mansion, everything will have earth-shaking changes, "the heart is more than a know-how", it is not difficult for her to understand the stakes, She should also be more motivated to concoct more magical accounts about her marriage to Baoyu in order to overshadow the "golden jade marriage".
The thirty-sixth time, "Embroidered Mandarin Duck Dream Zhaoyun Xuan", Bao Yu shouted in his sleep, "How can the words of the monk and Taoist be trusted?" What is the marriage of gold and jade, I prefer to say that it is a marriage of wood and stone! "So, how does Baoyu know that his predecessor was a stone?" How did he learn that he and Daiyu were "married to wood and stone"?
The twenty-eighth time, the Dragon Boat Festival ceremony given by the Yuan Concubine was only the same as the second treasure, and Bao Yu ordered ZiXiu to take her own festival gift to Daiyu, let her pick and choose, love what to leave behind, and Daiyu let Zixiu take it back as it was. After Bao Yu smiled and asked her why, Dai Yu said that she was "inferior to Bao Girl, what gold and jade, we are just people of grass and trees."
Therefore, we can also reasonably infer from this so-called clue that Dai Yu, who has always been thinking of Baoyu and is obsessed with the "Golden Jade Theory", deliberately concocted his own magical predecessor and the legend of his own past life with Baoyu, and sought the opportunity to "self-Dao was originally Daizhu Grass" (fat batch), which aroused Baoyu's curiosity, and under Baoyu's careful questioning, it seemed that the "wood and stone marriage" that was more related and more magical than the "golden jade marriage" was born.
With Daiyu's talent, it was not difficult to do this, and some dull Baoyu originally believed such a statement, let alone from Sister Lin. Since then, Baoyu has been deeply engraved in his heart, thinking about it day and dreaming about it at night, so his heart is unconsciously revealed in his dreams.
2. "Golden Jade Marriage"
Baochao is older than Baoyu, this is certain, as for how old, from different angles in the text, several different results can be calculated. Although the reason for this cannot be completely ruled out that the text is in a state of "unfinished dreams", the fundamental reason is that the time of the text presented in the form of dreams is fantasy time, which is different from normal physical time, which has been discussed in the series of "Walking" in the Red Chamber 18-28. This article uses one of the algorithms, when Zhen Shi fell asleep, Zhen Yinglian was three years old, and on the sixty-third birthday of Baoyu, the text mentions that Xiangling (Zhen Yinglian) and Baochao are the same as Baochao, so Baochao Dabaoyu is about three years old.
As the saying goes: "Three generations of good wives, three generations of bad wives", for Baoyu, a phoenix who is loved by thousands of people in the Rongguo Mansion, the parents are more cautious in choosing a mate for him, and the most important criterion is of course both good character, and the others are secondary, just like the old ancestor of Jia Province, Shi Taijun, said, "No matter how rich he is, as long as his appearance is matched... It is that the family is poor, but give him a few silver or two, but it is rare to look good. ”
However, such a near-perfect wife candidate is always a scarce commodity and cannot be sought, and Baochao "was born with lustrous muscles and delicate manners." His father was present that day, and he loved this woman so much that she could read and write ten times more than his brother. Since his father's death, when he saw that his brother could not stick to his mother's arms, he did not take the writing as a matter, but only paid attention to things such as needlework and family planning, so as to share the worries and relieve the work of his mother" (the fourth time), in the society at that time, Xue Baochao, a girl with both virtues, good looks and good foundation, was definitely a standard and ideal daughter-in-law candidate, even in today's diversified standards for choosing a wife, Baochao is also one of the best choices.
A woman, when her role changes from a girl to a mother, the child will undoubtedly become the central topic of conversation between them. The fourth time, Aunt Xue mentioned that Madame Wang "always carries a letter and carries a book, pick us up", and the sisters' letters will definitely focus on their respective children, and I believe that Madame Wang must be deeply impressed by Baochao.
Three years later, she gave birth to Baoyu, especially when she found out that Baoyu was a "mischievous and obedient" demon king, she would think that a girl like Baochao might be the best candidate for Baoyu's wife in the future, "fat water does not flow into the fields of outsiders", and, knowing the roots, you can also kiss and kiss, why not enjoy it? Therefore, she "always carries a letter and a letter", which naturally inevitably mentions to pick up Aunt Xue's family in order to facilitate the implementation of the plan and the achievement of the goal.
Jia Zheng must have known and deeply agreed with these thoughts of hers, so as soon as Xue Pan met him, he asked people to tell Lady Wang to arrange for Aunt Xue's family to live in Lixiangyuan. Similarly, in the process of serving Jia Mu day and night, she will definitely talk about this topic, and Jia Mu also deeply agrees, so Jia Zheng sent someone to ask Lady Wang to leave Aunt Xue's family, and Lady Wang has not yet stayed, and Jia Mu has sent someone to stay again.
Therefore, Jia Mu and Jia Zheng were so anxious to keep Aunt Xue's family, in addition to the hospitality of the clan, like to be lively, etc., the focus is still on Baochao. It is not difficult to find such so-called clues from the text, such as Baochao's first birthday when she entered the Rongguo Mansion, Jia Mu, who liked her "steady and peaceful", she herself donated twenty-two yuan to celebrate her birthday, while the granddaughter who entered the house before Bao Chao did not see Jia Mu celebrate her birthday; on the thirty-fifth time, Jia Mu, Aunt Xue, Xue Baochao and others went to Yihong Courtyard to visit the injured Jia Baoyu, and everyone talked about the clever and well-behaved woman who caused pain. In order to let Jia Mu praise Lin Daiyu, Jia Baoyu said that among the sisters, Wang Xifeng and Lin Daiyu were the most able to talk. No, Jia Mu instead praised Xue Baochao: "Mentioning sisters, it is not that I flatter in front of my aunt's wife, it is true, from the four girls in our family, it is not as good as Bao Baotou." [note 1]
The leper cripples that appear from time to time in the text generally appear when the girls they want to "save" are three years old, such as Zhen Yinglian and Daiyu. The eight characters on the Jin Yongluo related to Baochao and the prescription of "Cold Incense Pill" all come from leper monks, and it can be reasonably assumed that all this happened when Baochao was about three years old, and Baoyu was born around this time.
Aunt Xue will definitely mention all this in the process of correspondence with her sister Madame Wang. As Baoyu grew older, his personality tended to become more and more obvious, and Jia Zheng and Jia Mu became more and more eager for Baochao to become Baoyu's future wife.
However, the monk's "golden jade saying" is an obstacle that must be overcome. For the prominent Rong Guofu, jade was not a rare thing, so the Jia family fictionalized the theory that Baoyu was born of jade, and engraved the eight characters of "a pair" with Jin Yongluo on the so-called "psychic treasure jade". Not only that, the Jia family also engraved the nine words "Removing Evil Spirits, Curing Wronged Diseases, and Knowing Misfortunes" on the "Psychic Treasure Jade" that are similar to the meaning of the "Cold Incense Pill" that can suppress congenital heat poison. In order to make the "Psychic Treasure Jade" look like this, the Jia family also had to make the movement bigger and make the city full of wind and rain, even the King of Northern Jing and so on knew.
3. The truth: all are the author's "absurd words" with profound meaning
The above arguments, based on the so-called clues, make logical sense, but what serious consequences will occur? If the "Mushi Marriage" and "Mushi Qianmeng" are fictionalized by Daiyu, the plot of the "Mushi Qianmeng" discussed by a monk in the hidden dream of Zhen Shi at the beginning of the main text is that the plot of the "Mushi Qianmeng" is nothing, and the natural two immortals do not exist, and the plot of the vast master in the wedge "chanting the spell book charm, the great exhibition of illusion" turning the stone into "a clear and clean jade" will not exist, of course, the stone does not exist; if the jade of the treasure jade is untenable, the vast master in the wedge "reads the spell symbol, the great exhibition of illusion" turns the stone into "a clear and clean jade" The plot also does not exist, and of course, the stone does not exist either. Since the stone does not exist, why is the Book of Stones?
Therefore, if you only stare at the front of the Fengyue Baojian, do not pursue the meaning of the back of the Fengyue Baojian, and take the author's implicit "absurd words" as true, there will be a variety of opinions, inconsistencies, and even fundamental subversion of the text.
In fact, regarding Chao Dai, the author's original setting was "although there are two names, people are one" (the forty-second time back to the previous batch). "Unity of The Emperor" [Note 2] means that there is no so-called difference between the so-called Pro-Dai Faction and the Pro-Dai Faction in the Rongguo Mansion, and the relationship between the Bao Dai Faction is definitely not as simple as "talking about love", and the "Unity of the Bao Dai" has another deep meaning.
In fact, a closer look at the text shows that the "Golden Jade Marriage" and the "Wooden Stone Former Alliance" are not forged by anyone, but directed by the leper monk Limp. When Zhen Shi was hiding in his dream, he heard a monk's story about the Shenying attendant and the Daizhu Immortal Grass, which was the origin of the "Wooden Stone Former Alliance"; the Daizhu Immortal wanted to follow the Divine Ying Attendant to the mortals, and use his lifelong tears to repay the god Ying Waiter's past life's irrigation virtues, which is the origin of the "Wooden Stone Marriage".
The "golden jade marriage" is also the same one by one, the leper monk sent "do not abandon, Fang Ling Yongji" and Xue Baochao, and also said that it must be hammered on the golden jewel, worn all year round, and only when encountering jade in the future can it be matched, and these eight words, and the leper monk engraved on Jia Baoyu's "psychic treasure jade", "Do not forget, Xianshou Hengchang" is "a pair", which is the origin of "golden jade marriage".
A monk is "described by the author himself" (the first lipogram), which can also be called the embodiment of the author, "in the general book, under the guise of leper monks and lame monks, it is pointed out that there are several people in the psychedelic sea" (the third lipogram). The text is "Who understands it?" Therefore, "wood and stone marriage" and "golden jade marriage" are actually "absurd words" made by the author through the incarnation in his dream.
It is a leper monk, and it can also be said that the author gave BaoChao the "Cold Incense Pill" from the too illusory realm and the "No Abandonment, Fang Ling Yong Ji" that can be matched with the eight words above the "Psychic Treasure Jade", so that she can assume the heavy responsibility of the metaphor given to her by the author, just like Dai Yu with a lifetime of hazy tears opposite Jia Baoyu, which is also a profound arrangement of the author, not Dai Yu pretending to be pitiful, intending to win Jia Baoyu's sympathy, so as to win love. Therefore, the "Golden Jade Marriage" and the "Wooden Stone Former Alliance" are an inseparable whole, just like the "two names, but the people are one".
