For owners of electric vehicles, battery life is an important factor affecting the experience of using a car, especially in the current winter, which has a considerable impact on the mileage of many electric vehicles, even Tesla is no exception. However, according to foreign media reports, a battery startup called ONE recently claimed that they modified a Tesla, giving it a range of up to 752 miles (1210 kilometers).

A replacement battery version of the Tesla Model S is being tested
According to the company, they modified a Tesla Model S long-endurance version, replacing the 103.9 kWh battery on the original car with a 207.3 kWh "Gemini" battery they developed themselves. In subsequent road tests, it traveled 752 mph (1210 km/ h) at an average speed of 55 mph (88 km/h) at full power. The team then put the car on a special vehicle dynamometer for testing, and also measured an average speed of 55 mph to reach a range of 882 miles (1419 km/ h), which was very impressive.

The company's founders say they hope to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles by eliminating range anxiety. Currently, the company is focusing on developing this proof-of-concept battery into a new product called "Gemini", which will achieve long endurance after a single charge, while using sustainable materials to reduce costs and safety. It is worth noting that in this test, the company's battery and Tesla have the same volume as the installed battery, which also means that ONE's battery has a higher battery energy density. The company aims to put Gemini batteries into production after 2023.
