This year marks the ninth year of our observation and recording of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. In the past nine years, the cancellation of drug surcharges, the reduction of medical consumables charges, and the decline in hospital income, we have felt the hidden pain of the hospital after the medical reform has gone to the deep water area, and we have also seen the hospital's determination to improve the quality of medical services and increase the income of medical staff; in the past nine years, the outpatient volume of the hospital has been rising, the old hospital area has been overloaded, we have recorded the hospital's overcrowded outpatient registration office in 2013, and also witnessed the opening of the high-tech campus in 2017, and the continuous optimization of the medical environment. In the past year, the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University has ushered in new members, and the Feidong County People's Hospital of Anhui Province has become the Dongcheng Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University. Daniel Zhang told reporters that a few days ago, the patient suddenly had a myocardial infarction, and the hospital gave him emergency coronary intervention surgery. "The patient had a heart attack, and when he came to the emergency room, the whole blood vessel was completely gone, and at that time, our emergency department opened one of his blood vessels." We review the angiography today, mainly looking at another blood vessel. The blood vessel that saved our lives, we saved it, and now we have to find a way to save the blood vessel that is about to be blocked. ”
The radial artery in the patient's arm was punctured, the catheter was inserted, the guide wire was introduced, and the operation went smoothly. Subsequently, the catheter is injected with contrast agent, as if turning on a "searchlight", and the coronary artery blood vessel blockage is instantly displayed on the screen. Under the precise manipulation of Hou Jie, deputy director of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of the hospital, the thick metal guide wire of the hair was sent to the coronary blood vessel of the heart along the catheter, which built a pathway for the follow-up vascular dredging work.

Daniel Zhang told reporters: "A bracket is more than 700 yuan, and the people can afford it." If it is a surgical bypass surgery, the trauma is very large, and the chest needs to be opened, which is not acceptable to the general patient. Our current minimally invasive surgery is done from the hand, and after doing it, the patient is also awake. ”

The county hospital interventional treatment team started from scratch
Interventional surgery needs to be carried out in a radiation environment, and medical care needs to wear more than 30 pounds of radiation-proof lead clothing. Daniel Zhang and team members took turns and performed nine interventional surgeries a day. Daniel Zhang introduced that the hospital has done more than 1,000 interventional surgeries in 2021, and more than 100 emergency interventional surgeries to save the lives of patients with acute myocardial infarction. "If you encounter a patient with acute myocardial infarction, 120 is sent directly to the catheter room, bypassing the emergency department." From the discovery of myocardial infarction to the opening of blood vessels, the fastest treatment time is ten minutes. More than 100 myocardial infarction interventional surgeries have been performed in the emergency department in 2021, which is equivalent to saving the lives of more than a hundred patients. For Hou Jie, who has worked in the Feidong County People's Hospital for more than ten years, this was unimaginable before. He said that because the county hospital had no intervention in the past few years, the first reaction of patients with acute myocardial infarction in previous years was to immediately transfer them to the provincial city hospital. "In the past, because of the equipment conditions and the limitations of technical strength, many technologies could not be carried out, and patients with heart attack like this could not do it, so they let him transfer to the hospital at the next level, often encountering such helplessness." Such transfers also make many patients doubt our technical strength and the level of doctors. ”
For patients with acute myocardial infarction who are rushing to the death of time, referral means that it is likely to miss the golden time for treatment. Daniel Zhang said that the lack of medical resources in the county has led to the problem of difficult and expensive medical treatment to a certain extent. "The population of Feidong is more than 1 million, limited by the medical conditions at that time, many ordinary people can not get effective treatment at the doorstep of their homes after getting sick, and are forced to go to a higher-level hospital, or even go to outside the province for treatment."
