In addition, according to the notice, the First People's Hospital of Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou City, the First People's Hospital of Linping District of Hangzhou City, the First People's Hospital of Fuyang District of Hangzhou City, the First People's Hospital of Lin'an District of Hangzhou City, the People's Hospital of Yuyao City, the People's Hospital of Cixi City, the First People's Hospital of Xiangshan County, the People's Hospital of Yueqing City, the People's Hospital of Pingyang County, the People's Hospital of Cangnan County, the People's Hospital of Changxing County, the People's Hospital of Haining City, the First People's Hospital of Tongxiang City, the Central Hospital of Shaoxing, the Second Hospital of Shaoxing, the Affiliated Hospital of Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences, Shaoxing Shangyu People's Hospital, Xinchang County People's Hospital, Jinhua City People's Hospital, Yongkang First People's Hospital, Zhejiang Quhua Hospital, Tiantai County People's Hospital, etc., 22 are determined to be tertiary B-class general hospitals, with a validity period of 5 years.
According to the incomplete statistics of Health Times, more than 30 hospitals across the country were promoted to top three hospitals in the whole year of 2021.
In the newly promoted tertiary or even tertiary hospitals in 2021, there is no shortage of county-level hospitals. In November 2021, the General Office of the National Health Commission clearly proposed in the "Thousand Counties Project" county hospital comprehensive capacity improvement work plan that by 2025, at least 1,000 county-level medical institutions across the country will reach the service level of tertiary medical institutions, and promote the continuous improvement of the comprehensive capacity of county hospitals.
In recent years, with the advancement of the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment policy, many hospitals have taken advantage of the policy and competed to "upgrade the third level" and "create the top three".
According to the "Statistical Communiqué on the Development of Mainland Health and Health Undertakings in 2020" issued by the National Health Commission, at the end of 2020, the total number of medical and health institutions in the country reached 1022922, including 35,394 hospitals, of which 2,996 were tertiary hospitals (1,580 were tertiary hospitals), and 247 new tertiary hospitals were added in the mainland in 2020 alone, a peak in 10 years.
