The first laptop
As a veteran technology manufacturer, TCL officially entered the notebook market, released the first product TCL Book 14 Go, it is equipped with a 14.1-inch screen, resolution of 1366×768, body weight of 1.3kg, thickness of 14mm, equipped with Arm architecture Snapdragon 7c processor, which is a processor in 2019, so in the performance is more general, while having 4GB memory and 128GB storage, support SD card expansion, support 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 5. There are two USB type-Cs, one DP and one USB type-A in terms of interfaces.
As can be seen from the parameter configuration, this is an entry-level Arm architecture notebook, mainly for education users, priced at 350 US dollars (about 2227 yuan).
Folding screen concept machine
In the field of folding screen, TCL has always been in an active layout, many previous exhibitions have shown related products, up and down fold, left and right fold and even three folds, in this CES 2022 and brought a product called TCL Flex V, it is still in the prototype stage.
It is similar in design to Samsung's GalaxyZ Flip, but the gap in the hinge after closing is small, the crease is not very obvious, it is equipped with a 21:9 inner screen, 1080P resolution, and a very small external screen under the rear camera, which can be used to display notification information and can also be used as a selfie viewfinder.
In terms of parameters, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 765G processor, 6GB + 128GB combination, built-in 3545mAh battery, rear 48 million pixels + 16 million pixels dual camera, front lens of 44 million pixels, but these are only the prototype stage configuration, if the future really wants to release there may be changes.
In fact, in September last year, there were digital bloggers exposed a TCL folding screen product, from the picture point of view is this, its completion degree looks quite high, so the probability of official launch is still relatively large, the configuration in the next upgrade, the price is a good choice, it is understood that TCL's goal is 600-700 US dollars, can make more consumers affordable.
A new generation of smart glasses
As an upgraded version of the Nxtwear G, the weight of the NxtWear Air has been reduced from 130g to 75g, and the shape is more like a pair of sunglasses. However, although they are all smart glasses, they are relatively different from Huawei's products in terms of function, more like a huge screen.
It embeds two 1080p MicroOLED displays in the frame, using polarized BirdBath optical technology, the effect is equivalent to looking at a 140-inch screen at a distance of 4 meters, and can be connected via USB-C to a DisplayPort-compatible mobile phone, tablet or laptop for movie viewing, gaming, office, and support for 3D effects. Built-in stereo speakers that can be connected to Bluetooth or wired headphones. NxtWear Air will go on sale worldwide in the first quarter of this year, with prices yet to be announced.
AR glasses
TCL also brought a Thunderbird AR glasses, which can display fitness data, weather forecasts, etc. during exercise, which is not introduced in great detail for the time being. From the perspective of product styling, it should be similar to the Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition released by Thunderbird last year, using a diffracted light waveguide of holographic grating with MicroLED technology. Compared with folding screen mobile phones, such an AR glasses may be slightly farther away from us.
