Late tide | fairy tale old man Xie Tingyu

□ Yanzi and

"Xuanping honesty" is a distillation general term for the character of Xuanping people in Wuchu and Wuchu.

I really have a relationship with the representative literati of "Xuanping Honesty". The fairy tale old man Xie Tingyu is 52 years older than me, and the anti-war writer Shen Xiang is 37 years older than me. Xie Tingyu is the cousin of Pan Mohua, who is also Pan Mohua's uncle, and Shen Xiang is Pan Mohua's nephew. At present, Jinhua City is the center of the development of children's literature in the country, and Wuyi is particularly prominent because of the birth of Tang Tang. Xie Tingyu, the first to join the All-China Literary Workers Association, not only became famous for his anti-war novels, but also became obsessed with children's literature creation in the 1950s and 1960s, such as the fairy tale anthologies "Glass Train", "Strange Story", "Reunion", etc., which were quite popular when they were published; Shen Xiang created children's novels "Yao Yao and Master Huozha" in the 1980s with the theme of his uncle Pan Mohua, which was also quite popular after being published by Tianjin Xinlei Publishing House. Mr. Jiang Feng, the old president of Zhejiang Normal University and an internationally renowned expert in children's literature, paid attention to Xie Tingyu and Shen Xiang in the process of sorting out and compiling the history of Children's Literature in Jinhua, and asked me to provide relevant materials. Of course, in terms of the overall literary creation, Xie Tingyu is a writer of the War of Resistance who has entered the history of literature; from the perspective of the centenary of the founding of the CPC, Pan Mohua and Xie Tingyu are standard red writers, but the lakeside poet Pan Mohua died young, and Xie Tingyu completed the whole process along the red road opened up by Pan Mohua.

Even if Xie Tingyu did not write fairy tales, he would always maintain a childlike heart until he died of illness at the age of 96, and brought the child's heart to another world. I also gradually got to know Elder Xie when I was teaching at Wuyi No. 2 Middle School, and I have been in a relationship with Shen Xiang for 10 years, and Shen often mentions him, saying that he has published novels in the Yalu River magazine edited by Xie Tingyu. Since the early 1990s, I have had correspondence with Xie Lao, and after I transferred to the founding Wuyi Bao in October 1992, I asked him for a manuscript in correspondence, and since then he has become a loyal reader and author of his hometown newspaper. Elder Xie, who went to work in the northeast in 1945, missed his hometown so much, and I can feel it from the enthusiasm with which he wrote to me to quickly warm up and frequently asked questions about the development and changes of his hometown. Shortly after I was responsible for editing the cultural supplement of Wuyi Bao, Elder Xie sent me a reminiscence essay "Rouge Peach!" Where are you? 》。 The article said that the rouge peach he had eaten in his hometown before going to elementary school was shaped like the peach of the immortals in the folklore painting, the color was red and purple, the skin was thin, and the thick juice of the fingernails scratching the red was gushing out, the taste was sweet and sour, delicious and refreshing. Xie Lao, who was 84 years old at the time, said that this was the most rare delicacy he had ever eaten in his life, and the aftertaste was unforgettable.

After the article was published, he wrote to acquaintances and friends across the country to help pick up the cochineal seed, and suggested that the hometown government should plant the cochineal peach as a rural enrichment industry development, and later really sent me peach pictures and peach cores, but unfortunately I tried to plant with my friends and did not germinate.

Late tide | fairy tale old man Xie Tingyu

Xie Tingyu and his wife Wen Hua, eldest daughter Zhenzi (middle) son Zhengxing (right), and daughter Danqing in Shenyang (December 1956).

Xiao Shiqing, who lived with Elder Xie in the family building of the Liaoning Provincial Writers Association, wrote in the commemorative article "Fang Lin Ru Ju" that Elder Xie rarely came to his house on crutches and trembled, and the nagging and talking was always about his hometown and childhood anecdotes, and Elder Xie was still full of praise for the murals and calligraphy left by the nameless monks of yanfu Temple in his grandmother's tao village at the age of 90; Elder Xie said that there was a small dish cooking method called "ginger silk meat sauce" in his hometown that was simple and delicious, and repeatedly explained the ingredients and firing procedures for Xiao Shiqing to try.

Possibility is in love, and it is easy to dig up his heart with Xie Lao, who is like the person who cuts his chest and holds his heart high above his head in Gorky's novel "Danke", not only sending me various manuscripts, but also explaining his life experience to me. He said in the letter, "You know what? There are many painful things in my life, but when I think of the word 'Tingyu' in my name, even the universe can survive, I am not even afraid of tsunamis. He sent me a lot of manuscripts that were not suitable for publication for a while, and what was particularly precious was the manuscript "Tonight Decisive Battle" that recalled the time he was rectified in Yan'an for more than two years, saying that he would not ask for publication, and let me put it up and look at it.

Xie Lao sent me a lot of photos with the letter, when he was young, Xie Tingyu was really a bookish businessman, Yushu Linfeng, coupled with talent, no wonder Japanese classmates Kiyoko and Ryan 17-year-old girl Wen Hua fell in love with him at first sight.

In more than 10 years of correspondence, he also sent me newspaper clippings from newspaper supplements such as Wenhui, Xinmin, Yangcheng, and Tonight, instructing me on how to compile special supplements and instructing me on how to rewrite poems such as "Wild Boar Herd" and "Longtan" into novels. He was my veritable literary mentor.

There were more than 120 correspondences between us, and he also sent me a lot of books and asked the calligrapher's brother-in-law Wen Jiabin to write calligraphy works for me; because his daughter Xie Zhenzi was the deputy director of the China Writers Association's Joint Department, he gave my daughter's Beijing address and telephone number, and told me to have the opportunity to take the "road strip" he had opened to her.

Before his death in 2006, Elder Xie repeatedly invited me to Shenyang to meet, saying that if there were financial difficulties, he would be paid to go back and forth, and his son would be fortunate to arrange a tour route and accompany him to Shenyang.

Xie Tingyu and Ye Yiwei, two old people, both lived through vicissitudes to the age of 96, and they had close contacts with me in the last ten years of their lives, and it can be said that they were both instructors of my humanistic quality and literary improvement. It's just that Elder Ye is introverted and rigorous, and he has more "face-to-face teaching" for me, while Elder Xie, who only has "published and taught" by God, actually made me feel vivid and vivid than living together.

Xie Lao's unforgettable carmine and a bowl of ginger meat sauce touched the nostalgia and nostalgia for how deep and helpless his hometown was. Due to physical and age reasons, Elder Xie did not return to his hometown for more than 20 years in the last 20 years, in his heart, I became the "representative" of hometown affection and a "symbol" of homesickness, but unfortunately he repeatedly invited me before he died but did not go to The Northeast, and so far I only have to beat my chest and regret.

Late tide | fairy tale old man Xie Tingyu

According to Xie Tingyu's younger brother Xie Tingfei, in the summer of 1953, their famous old father, Xie Zhengfu, came to Shenyang from his hometown and said that the thousand-year-old Yanfu Temple, the earliest wooden treasure building in the Yuan Dynasty in Jiangnan, had been reduced to a gray-paved pigsty for the production team, and Xie Laoxiao had lived for a long time in His grandmother's house in Tao Village. Shortly after the letter was sent, Mao Dun asked the minister's office to reply to them, saying that the letter had been received and had been approved and forwarded to the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, instructing the relevant departments to verify and take measures. Afterwards, Yanfu Temple was funded by the superior for maintenance, and in March 1960, it was announced as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Zhejiang Province, and later announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit.

In June 2010, under the guidance of Xie Tingfei, a former professor at Shenyang Normal University and president of the Liaoning Provincial Council of Foreign Literature, photographer Wu Weikang and I finally embarked on a journey to realize our dreams in Northeast China. Almost as soon as the plane was taken, accompanied by Xie Lao's son Zhengxing and daughter-in-law Xiaowei, they rushed to the spiritual hall where Xie Lao's ashes were stored in Babaoshan, Longgang, Shenyang. In the face of the urn of Elder Xie carefully removed from the cabinet of the Lingtang, I bowed, apologized, offered flowers and wrote letters to Elder Xie "face to face", sincerely sighing and shedding tears for the late trip.

On the way back, Xie Zhengxing, the old son of Xie, sighed and said that his father's will was to scatter his ashes to the sea, and several children wanted to buy him a piece of land to place, so they had no choice but to deposit it back to Longgang first. The eldest brother is 10 years older than me, their couple is warm and cheerful, take us to visit the national key cultural protection Zhang Shuai Mansion, in the 50s of the last century, this European-style luxury Western-style building was actually the office of the Northeast Writers Association, and I was born in this Western-style building when I was lucky; No. 342, Building 14, Chaihe Street, Beiling District, Shenyang is the former residence of Xie's old husband, the quaint small building is like the old dormitory of the county back alley county government where I lived, and all the letters that Elder Xie gave me were sent from this former residence. On the same day, we also visited the Mighty Imperial Taiji Cemetery of the Beiling Emperor and was warmly welcomed by Xie Lao's son and daughter-in-law. Our entire trip to northeast China also visited Dalian, Lushun, Harbin and other places, and the 8-day trip was full of resumes and pictures of Xie Lao.

Elder Xie said in the manuscript "Tonight's Decisive Battle": "I have a bad habit: thinking about slipping numbers. Especially when I'm serious or nervous, I can think straight. For example, when someone in the big group spits and swings a 'big knife' at me, I think if I can draw it, it is a good sketch, and I may win the prize in the competition. "Elder Xie has many heroic and fearless highlight moments in his life, calmly and calmly surpassing in the disasters of Yan'an rectification, anti-rightism, and cultural revolution, with a laughing iron man's attitude, which is somewhat due to the heart and humor cells of the pure child's feelings. When combing through the northeast trip, I wrote an essay "Xie Lao's Northeast".

About the author: Yan Zihe: Pen name Lao Miao. In the 1980s, he learned poetry, essays, novels, etc. Local media person, chairman of Wuyi County Writers Association.
