At that time, the crown prince Sima Dezong, that is, the later Emperor An of Jin, was mentally retarded, could not speak, and did not distinguish between hot and cold, and the Book of Jin and Emperor An said that "the emperor was not favored, he was small and long, his mouth could not speak, although the change of cold and heat, there was no way to argue, and everything that moved was not his own", he could not even do his own master, let alone investigate the cause of his father's death.

Lin Shujun was furious and said, "Your Majesty, if you don't receive me with the etiquette of receiving the Magi, and throw your sword at me so rudely, I want you to know how powerful it is." Soon, Emperor Xiaowu died suddenly, and those who knew about it said that it was Li Shujun who was the culprit.
