Xiang Yanli, who studied animation digital design, germinated the idea of protecting and inheriting this "beauty", and as early as 2013, he presided over the Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Department project, which used digital technology as a way to protect and inherit intangible cultural heritage, and used motion capture technology to record the movement space data of Anshundi opera performers, breaking the traditional data collection methods such as traditional photography and video.

In 2014, Xiang Yanli was sent by the Chinese Ministry of Education to william Paterson University of New Jersry as a visiting scholar, and several stories that occurred during this period made Xiang Yanli more determined by her career dream of "connecting national skills with science and technology and letting the world see colorful Guizhou".

During her time in the United States, Xiang Yanli's favorite thing to do is to visit museums and art exhibitions, many of which combine science and technology with national culture and art, and use virtual reality technology, VR and other new ways to convey excellent traditional national culture and art, which makes her greatly inspired. The work of one of the school's sculptors and teachers surprised Xiang Yanli even more, "At that time, from a distance, it looked like a messy wire coiled together, which at first glance made people a little inexplicable." After Xiang Yanli walked in, she found that many students were watching with mobile phones, "Scanning and watching this sculpture through mobile phones is actually the Milky Way, which is the application of AR technology." ”

Xiang Yanli said that the national cultural and artistic heritage has witnessed the development of the history of human civilization, and its importance has been widely valued. Relying on their unique advantages in national cultural and artistic heritage, countries around the world have successively built a series of colorful digital national cultural and artistic heritage resources, and through the development and construction of digital platforms, they can provide the people from all walks of life with the opening and sharing of national cultural and artistic heritage resources.

Inspired by this, Xiang Yanli decided to try to show Guizhou's national culture and art in the form of big data visualization. After returning to China, Xiang Yanli, with the support of Guizhou University for Nationalities, formed a team to apply for the National Arts Fund project. "Initially, I did it with a try-and-try mentality, and the teachers and students in the school were very supportive." Xiang Yanli said, "Young people should not be afraid of failure, if we do wrong, we can start all over again." ”

In 2019, presided over by Xiang Yanli and declared by Guizhou University for Nationalities, the construction project of the communication exchange and promotion platform "Guizhou Shiju Ethnic Minority Art Big Data Visualization Network Communication Platform Construction" stood out from more than 9,000 application projects submitted by China after expert review, and won the 2019 annual funding of the National Arts Fund, becoming the first new media project in Guizhou to receive the national art funding.

Relying on the project, Xiang Yanli and her team grew up rapidly, "We use the mentality of 'play' to do, 'play' out of new things, so that the national culture of Guizhou can be spread out, so that more friends at home and abroad can accept." ”

However, the road to scientific research is not always smooth, in early 2020, the sudden outbreak of new crown pneumonia caused the project to be suspended for several months; the team's students also left because of graduation, and it took longer for new people to join; after the project worked normally, Xiang Yanli unfortunately broke her knee during a fieldwork.

After unremitting efforts, on December 22, 2021, the National Arts Fund Communication exchange and promotion platform construction project "Guizhou Shiju Ethnic Minority Art Big Data Visualization Network Communication Platform Construction" was launched online. The project takes the excellent traditional culture and art of 17 hereditary ethnic minorities in Guizhou as the research object, and uses big data visualization technology to digitize and model the culture and art of the ethnic minorities in Guizhou, fully integrating the latest Internet information technology and big data technology.

The project team studied the art of ethnic minorities in Guizhou from four categories: silver jewelry, clothing, architecture, and opera masks, and adopted fieldwork and big data reptile mining techniques. Through multi-channel excavation, thousands of guizhou ethnic minority art graphics and patterns were sorted out, and they were sorted into a library, and three network platforms were used for dissemination and promotion using mobile app app, PC-side three-dimensional website, and social platform.

Experts believe that the research results are innovative achievements in the deep integration of Guizhou's national culture and art and science and technology, and a strong driving force for Guizhou's national culture and art to move towards a high-quality development track.
