What is the greatest miracle in the history of war? That is, a big battle in which less is won, or one side of the battle is not captured, and the other side captures a large group of soldiers.
According to one veteran, during the Liberation War, the 2nd Battalion of the 141st Regiment of the 16th Army was responsible for escorting the general's 2,000 prisoners of war. At that time, the 141st Regiment defeated the general at Bijie Water City, and after the war was escorted and captured by the second battalion, and this veteran was the soldier of the second battalion.
In 1950, the 2nd Battalion of the 141st Regiment of the 16th Army defeated the second rebellion of Chiang Kai-shek's army and rested in Bijie, Guizhou. Then their next task came, and there was what was said at the beginning.
Ordered to carry out the mission
The task of the second battalion was to escort the prisoners to designated locations and concentrate on education and reform. However, the 2 battalions had a maximum of 800 men, but there were more than 2,000 prisoners to be escorted, which meant that a soldier had to look after several prisoners. This is no easier, or even harder to do, than going to war on the battlefield. No one can guarantee that when we move forward, we will rob our guns and riot again.
Considering that these captives had experiences of rebellion, many of them were not honest, so in order to speed up the escort, they even had to travel at night. Although the speed is fast, it also gives the other party an opportunity to take advantage of it. Most importantly, there are some highly effective soldiers in the PLA who have to guard their weapons, so riflemen have to take care of the captives. Of course, they also have their own way of guarding the captives, that is, to let the captives each carry some supplies. It is not so easy to get them to march at the same time, so that they have no energy to rebel, and it is also to prevent them from escaping.
After all, they were once soldiers of the national army, and although they surrendered, they were still dissatisfied in their hearts. No one knew what they would do on their way to the escort, so the battalion-level cadres instructed, found something unusual, and shot directly without asking for instructions. The body can be dragged down, but since ancient times, the human heart cannot be sold.
The rebellion of the inside and the outside ended in failure
On the first day the march reached the middle of the night, and it was time for rest, and the rebels unloaded their materials and found a place to sit. Platon soldiers also opened their backpacks, took out dry food, and prepared to eat something. At this moment, a shadow came to the instructor of the 6th Company. It was a strange voice saying that there would be trouble today, and the place to do it was in a village in front of it. He was the connector of the village, and he took the opportunity to report to the officer.
The instructor looked at the veteran with a finger to the village in front of him, and after thinking for a moment, the veteran had to speak out completely. When the goods arrived, the rebel participants had a strip of white cloth one inch wide on their hats. So immediately asked the instructor to follow the characteristics of the traitor hat said by the veteran, and the PEOPLE's Liberation Army really searched for such people in the prisoners and saw more than 20 people.
After only 10 minutes of rest, the march began again, and the others were still wondering why the rest was so short. Only to see the People's Liberation Army quickly suppress the prisoners who wanted to rebel. In less than a minute, the rebels were contained, disobedient people were shot on the spot, and nearly thirty people were fired in a combo.
Each company in the battalion basically solved the battle in tens of seconds. In the end at least a hundred rebels were killed. Unfortunately, the number one person who planned the uprising escaped. The rebels in the captive convoy were all settled, and there were mountain thieves waiting for the joint in the front village. The battalion commander ordered each company to draw a platoon, and the battalion commander personally led the team to eliminate the mountain thieves who encountered the rebels.
The thief regretted and was afraid, so he had to raise his hand and surrender. Without any effort, the vacancy of the executed rebels was filled and they continued to carry supplies to the designated location. After two days and two nights of marching, the Second Battalion finally escorted the prisoners to the designated location, and the instructor was promoted to the post of director of the regimental political department.
