Twitter announced a $1.05 billion sale of its aggregation platform Mopub

IT Home January 3 news, Twitter officially announced today that it has completed the sale of MoPub to AppLovin Company on January 1, 2022 for $1.05 billion in cash. With mopub sales revenue, Twitter wanted to speed up the development of its own product.

"With the sale of MoPub complete, we will continue to focus on enhancing advertising on our platform. Our goal is to achieve faster growth in key areas and accelerate our product development," said Bruce Falck, General Manager of Revenue Products at Twitter.

It House understands that MoPub, a business that helps mobile publishers manage their ad inventory, serves app developers and publishers around the world, and was acquired by Twitter for $350 million in 2013, providing another avenue for social networks to promote advertising businesses, especially on mobile platforms.

In 2020, MoPub had annual sales of $188 million.
