BYD will sell 740,000 vehicles in 2021, up 73.3% year-on-year

Leju Finance Lanlan on January 3, BYD (002594.SZ) announced that the total production of cars in December 2021 was 97,274 units, compared with 56,564 units in the same period last year. In December, the sales volume of 99,112 vehicles, the cumulative sales of the whole year 740131, an increase of 73.34% year-on-year.

Among them, the sales volume of new energy vehicles in December 2021 was 93,900 units, compared with 28,800 units in the same period last year; the cumulative sales volume for the whole year was 603,800 units, an increase of 218.30% year-on-year. In December 2021, the production of new energy vehicles was 92,030 units, compared with 28,900 units in the same period last year; the cumulative production of the whole year was 607,100 units, an increase of 219.76% year-on-year.

According to the announcement, in December 2021, BYD's new energy vehicle order demand continued to be strong and maintained a sustained growth momentum; affected by the epidemic in Xi'an in the second half of the month, the output of the company's Xi'an automobile production base was affected to a certain extent, and the production of the Xi'an base has basically returned to normal as of now.
