At the beginning of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Xuancheng, Anhui Province, was one of the rear areas of our army defending Nanjing, which not only stored a large amount of war materials, but also a place for the recuperation and treatment of the wounded and sick of our army.
According to historical records, since November 25, 1937, the reconnaissance planes of the Japanese Kou have reconnaissance over Xuancheng, and two days later they have bombed Xuancheng.
With the advancement of the war, Shanghai and Nanjing fell one after another, Xuancheng gradually changed from the rear to the front line, and the people of Xuancheng also faced the direct threat of japanese swords and guns.
From February 7 to 12, 1938, the Japanese Kou troops who occupied Xuancheng in Anhui Province carried out three bloodbaths on the northern outskirts of Xuancheng, killing more than a hundred innocent people, and what was even more infuriating was that the motivation of the Japanese Kou in the northern suburbs to create these three bloody cases was only to capture a woman, and this woman was an innocent victim, she was the wife of Master Gao Xiaobao, the running hall of the Jingu Spring Bathhouse outside the north gate of Xuancheng. He found an opportunity to escape from the Japanese garrison.
After Master Gao's wife escaped, Rikou became angry, and on the morning of February 7, the soldiers divided into three roads and hunted them in a place of more than ten miles around Hanjiazhuang, and the beast soldiers burned the house when they saw it, and killed people when they saw them.
The porter Cao Guojiang's family of 3 was killed in the garden; Chen Jinquan's wife, because she was not able to walk fast on her small feet, was stabbed in the belly by the Rikou who came up, and climbed in the snow for a while and died; Zhang Jianghai, a barber in Hanjiazhuang, was beheaded because he refused to lead the way for the Rikou. Most cruelly, Nikko grabbed a runaway girl, picked her up on the tip of a bayonet, watched her scream for fun, and finally threw her into the fire and burned her alive.
In the afternoon of the same day, the "sweeping" Rikou took another 12 people arrested, including 4 members of Master Gao Xiaobao's family, 4 members of Old Man Wang's family, as well as Ma Zhengcai, Wang Mingyou, Jin Laosan's wife, and Tong Zongwang of the Han family compound, and locked them all in the grass hut of the dumb Chong Kuang family, slammed the gate, and set fire to the house.
At the same time, Rikou also tied Master Gao's wife to a bench and tortured her, stabbed her body with a bayonet, and finally stuffed her with the bench into the burning house.
After the massacre on February 7, the Japanese were still angry, and on February 10, the Japanese continued to sweep, and they burned down the grass huts built by the fleeing people in the depression of Luohan's belly. On February 12, the Japanese Kou raided Ichibong-ji Temple, burned dozens of houses at Ichibong-ji Temple, and killed 50 or 60 ordinary people who had taken refuge there.
