In 1950, about 2,000 people in Guangxi Province joined forces to jointly petition the local government to shoot Zhong Zupei in the Nationalist army. What bad thing did Zhong Zupei do that made the people so angry that they directly united and wrote to the government demanding that he be executed immediately.

According to relevant information, Zhong Zupei was born in Guangxi in 1890, before the fall of the Qing Dynasty, he once went to the Guangxi Army Primary School to receive cultural education, and later he met Li Zongren, the acting president of the Republic of China, and the two had a good personal relationship. After graduating from school, Zhong Zupei joined the National Guard Army and became a soldier.
After this, Zhong Zupei followed Li Zongren around in battle, winning many victories on the battlefield. Especially during the Northern Expedition, Zhong Zupei led the troops to Hunan in time to support other troops, completely reversed the war situation in the region, and gave full play to his role as the vanguard of the Northern Expedition.
After the end of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Nationalist Government launched a series of offensives against the revolutionary organizations in order to maintain its hegemonic position. As a result, our army counterattacked fiercely, and in 1949, our army won an all-round victory, and the main force of the nationalist army could basically collapse. Former Acting President Li Zongren went to Guangxi, found his good friend Zhong Zupei, and asked him to organize the militia regiment to break up into pieces and go to the mountains to fight guerrilla warfare with our army. Zhong Zupei did not refuse, he organized more than 1,000 people, trying to resist our army to the end. In January 1950, Zhong Zupei suddenly led an army to launch a rebellion, besieging the local government and the county seat. Zhong Zupei's soldiers were like bandits, unscrupulously smashing shops, burning the houses of many residents, and causing more than 1 billion yuan in losses to the state.
At the same time, many people were killed by Zhong Zupei and others, and the common people were particularly angry as victims, and everyone was unwilling to forgive reactionaries like Zhu Zhongzupei and strongly demanded that the government execute him. After resisting for a while, Zhong Zupei's soldiers collapsed one after another, and finally he surrendered helplessly and accepted the trial of the motherland. Zhong Zupei, who once served as a senior general in the Nationalist Army, was sentenced to death for his heinous crimes and became a ghost under the gun.
