Although the revolutionary fighters of the Communist Party made great contributions during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, there were also many famous anti-Japanese generals in the ranks of the Kuomintang, and General Zhang Zizhong was our beloved anti-Japanese general. Without their efforts, we would not have had the happy life we have today. Their revolutionary spirit has influenced our Chinese generations, including their children.
Zhang Zizhong, a famous anti-Japanese general
General Zhang Zizhong was born into a family of eunuchs, and at the time of the outbreak of the Xinhai Revolution, Zhang Zizhong was still studying in a school in Tianjin. During his studies, he came into contact with Mr. Sun's Three People's Principles and actively participated in the revolutionary movement. In 1916, Zhang Zizhong joined Feng Yuxiang's team on the recommendation of a friend.
In 1924, Zhang Zizhong, with his excellent ability, became the leader of the cadet corps. At the outbreak of the Second Zhifeng War, Zhang Zizhong was ordered to garrison Fengtai.
During the War of Resistance Against Japan, Zhang Zizhong resolutely resisted the War of Resistance. In 1933, Zhang Zizhong led the 29th Army to engage the Japanese army for the first time. In that battle, Zhang Zizhong's 29th Army and the Japanese army fought fiercely for seven days and nights, and finally the Japanese army was defeated and retreated. Zhang Zizhong's victory was a rare victory for the Chinese army in the early days of the War of Resistance Against Japan.
In 1937, the Kuomintang-Communist united front was initially formed. After that, old Jiang passively resisted the war, and Zhang Zizhong was very dissatisfied with his attitude, saying: "The country has reached such a point, how can we stay out of the matter?" In the face of the Japanese troops, Zhang Zizhong was even more fearless, commanding the soldiers to rush out of the enemy's encirclement with fewer enemies.
In 1940, the Japanese army controlled the traffic near the Yangtze River and gathered a large number of people to launch the Battle of Zaozhuang. The battle was extremely fierce, and Zhang Zizhong led the warriors to charge at it, but in the end they were still outnumbered. The number of Zhang Zizhong's troops dropped sharply. In the end, it ended with the total annihilation of the army, and Zhang Zizhong was killed in battle.

After General Zhang Zizhong sacrificed his life for the country, his wife was so sad that she died the year after the general left, leaving a 17-year-old daughter, Zhang Lianyun, alone.
Originally because of the war, Zhang Lianyun rarely saw her father, and she missed him very much. Ben thought that the war would end soon, and his father would be able to accompany him by his side. Who ever thought that the cruelty of war finally came to himself. Zhang Lianyun, who lost her parents in just one year, was very sad in her heart, but she knew that her father was a hero and she could not let his father lose face.
In the grief, she lifted her spirits and faced life again, taking her father as an example and contributing to the motherland. Moreover, Zhang Lianyun would never use her father's status to help herself seek welfare, and she also refused the state's pension. She thinks she has hands and feet to support herself, and the pension should go to those who need it more.
It was in this spirit of self-improvement that Zhang Lianyun graduated from Fudan University in 1948. After graduation, he successively served as a teacher and principal in Beijing Zizhong Primary School and Beijing Primary School. At the age of 70, she was also elected by the people as the vice chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Today' Zhang Lianyun is 97 years old, and his body is very tough.
