According to a report on december 30, 2021 on the website of Russia Today, based on the attention received in the international market, Russia's state-owned arms exporters have selected its five hottest new weapons. These include assault rifles, upcoming fifth-generation fighter jets and cutting-edge drones.

The list was cited by arms exporters, the Russian Defense Products Export Company. The company's head, Alexander Mikhev, provided the list to the media.

Sukhoi Su-75 "Kill" fighter

The upcoming "Kill" fighter is at the top of the list. The aircraft, which will soon be in production, was showcased at the 2021 Moscow International Airshow and dubai airshow. The aircraft is a single-engine fifth-generation fighter that is expected to be unmanned and claims to be capable of using advanced weapons against air and ground targets.

Another selling point that the state-owned arms exporter is reportedly talking about is the fighter's attractive price — each is expected to sell for between $25 million and $30 million, nearly half that of its main competitor, the American-made F-35 fighter.

"Orion" - E Tsatta drone

According to the Russian Defense Products Export Company, the new "Orion"-E drone, which was unveiled in public at the Moscow International Air Show in July 2021, has also clearly aroused interest among potential buyers.

The new version of the Orion drone has been turned into a full-featured cha-tat drone capable of striking ground targets with missiles and bombs and performing surveillance missions at high altitudes.

According to the test video released by the Russian military, the drone also claims to have the ability to strike air targets.

TOS-2 multiple rocket launcher

Another new weapon on the list is the TOS-2 Tosotchika multi-tube rocket launcher, which fires 220 mm unguided rockets carrying thermobar warheads. The system is a successor to the TOS-1 system, which is classified in Russia as a "heavy flamethrower".

Unlike the original model mounted on the tank's chassis, the new launcher features a wheeled chassis, which is said to make the launch system more maneuverable and versatile.

New Kalashnikov AK-19 rifle

The new version of the iconic Kalashnikov assault rifle, the AK-19, also made the list. While retaining its at-a-glance appearance, the AK-19 has an adjustable stock, various rails for easy addition of equipment, and all the glitz and glamour a modern gun should have.

The report pointed out that the assault rifle was specially designed for export, using 5.56 mm NATO standard rifle cartridges. Russian officials said earlier this week that Russian arms exporters had been awarded the first international contracts to supply the new rifle.

S-350E air defense system

Russian-made air defense systems — which remain one of Russia's most exported weapons — include the new S-350E system on the latest list of Russian defense export companies.

The S-350E air defense system, which has already been adopted by the Russian military, was first demonstrated abroad in 2021 and made a public appearance at the Dubai Airshow in November.
