Once, Snow said that he specifically wanted to interview a female Red Army soldier named Wei Gongzhi. Some people say that there are so many important people who have not been interviewed, what are you going to interview her for?
Snow asked rhetorically, "Isn't a woman like Wei Gongzhi important to the Red Army?" The man had nothing to say.
Indeed, among the 30 female Red Army soldiers who participated in the Long March, Wei Gongzhi's fame may not be as good as that of Cai Chang and Kang Keqing, but the legend of her life is not inferior to anyone else.
Born in 1905 in Xinyang, Henan Province, Wei Gongzhi was admitted to the girls' team of the Wuhan Branch of the Whampoa Military Academy in 1927. Please note that this is the only time in the history of the Whampoa Military Academy to recruit female students, and the students who were at the same time as Wei Gongzhi were Zhao Yiman, Hu Yun, and Hu Lanqi, as well as Xu Shuai's wife Huang Jie, Nie Shuai's wife Zhang Ruihua, and Ye Shuai's wife Zeng Xianzhi.
In December 1927, Ye Ting and others launched the Guangzhou Uprising, and Wei Gongzhi was in the ranks of the uprising, like a male soldier, grabbed a gun and went to the battlefield, without any false bullets, and made a great contribution.
Wei Gongzhi's revolutionary will was very firm, and after he and Zhang Jingzeng were married, they were pregnant, but in order not to cause trouble to the organization, they actually went to the hospital alone and had a miscarriage. Everyone felt sorry for her, but she said: "After giving birth to a child, there will still be a chance, and the opportunity to learn advanced theories for the revolution is rare." ”
However, Zhang Jingzeng was later mistakenly killed, and the dangerous arch rose up and angrily rebuked: "You have done what Chiang Kai-shek did not finish in April 12!" Because of this sentence, Wei Gongzhi was fired and sent to the printing house as a coolie.
In 1931, the Soviet Union was preparing to set up the Red Army School Club, which was the earliest literary and artistic institution in our army, and who would be the director, there were many candidates, but Liu Shuai, president of the Red Army University, said: "What else to choose?" The theory of the peril has a theory, and the will has a will, and it is her! ”
Wei Gongzhi presided over the literary and artistic work of the Red Army, and compiled many popular slips of the tongue, such as the sentence "Member Mao, good advocate, lead the nose to beat old Chiang Kai-shek", which was written by Wei Gongzhi.
At the Red Army University, Wei Gongzhi developed a relationship with his instructor Guo Huaruo. This Guo Huaruo is also worth mentioning, is a very good military theorist of our army, even the chairman is very impressed with him, once said that he can take the place of himself to give a lecture to senior generals, in 1955, Guo Huaruo was also awarded the founding lieutenant general.
However, at the Red Army University, Guo Huaruo was targeted by some people, and he also put Wei Gongzhi in charge of "monitoring" him and reporting on the situation at any time. Wei Gongzhi was furious and said, "If Guo Hua has no problem, I will not do anything that is unconscionable!" ”
Because of this incident, Wei Gongzhi was also implicated and finally had to break up with Guo Huaruo.
After the Arrival of the Red Army in Northern Shaanxi, Wei Gongzhi became the president of the Anti-Japanese Drama Society. Once, the Red Army sent a troupe led by Wei Gongzhi to the Northeast Army to perform "Hatred of the Fallen Country", which made many soldiers of the Northeast Army cry, and everyone waved their arms and shouted: "Fight back to your hometown!" ”
After the news reached Yan'an, the chairman praised Wei Gongzhi and said, "This woman is amazing! Ye Shuai also praised her: "Your drama can be compared to thousands of troops and horses!" ”
Ye Shuai had known Wei Gongzhi for ten years, and his impression of Wei Gongzhi was very good, and after he stabilized in northern Shaanxi, Ye Shuai had the courage to propose to Wei Gongzhi. But the crisis arch said: "You know that I am a person who has a lot of trouble, I don't want to bother you, I just want to be a real Bolshevik." ”
Ye Shuai said: "The Bolsheviks should also have love, and if you have any trouble in the future, I will bear it with you!" ”
In this way, Ye Shuai and Wei Gongzhi formed a revolutionary partnership in 1936.
In April 1937, Wei Gongzhi was sent to work in Shanghai, at that time, Wei Gongzhi was pregnant, coupled with work fatigue, forced to have a miscarriage, and never had children again. Later, for various reasons, Wei Gongzhi offered to divorce Ye Shuai, and Ye Shuai reluctantly agreed.
Later, Wei Gongzhi and Guo Yiqing also had a relationship, but in the end they did not come together.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wei Gongzhi did not hold many positions due to long-term illness, and finally died in 1973 at the age of 68.
