There is an ordinary village in the Taihang Mountains of Yuanshi County, Shijiazhuang, with large mountains in the west and south in the north, a small plain in the east, a river channel that runs dry up without water in spring and winter, and in the mountains to the west, there is a village called Heishuihe Village. Today, walking into the village, the first thing that catches your eye is a large tree at the entrance of the village, there is a temple called Xiangu Temple near the West Mountain, and on one side there is a blue-gray granite anti-Japanese hero monument, showing the history of fierce battles here.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, during the years of the Flames of Taihang, this was once the base area of the Jinji-Hebei Luyu Taihang District, where the Heishui River Conference to Safeguard the Anti-Japanese National United Front was held, and the Eighth Route Army annihilated the famous Heishui River Encirclement and Annihilation War of the Japanese Puppet Army, leaving an indelible mark on the history of the War of Resistance.
At the beginning of 1940, according to the instructions of its superiors, the main force of the Jixi Guerrilla Corps went north to the Yuanshi area to seek an opportunity to annihilate the Japanese army, smash the Japanese army's plot to turn north China into its "military base", and defend the anti-Japanese base area. Under the leadership of deputy commander Yin Xianbing, this team made several strong attacks on the puppet stronghold of Malingri, but several strong attacks were ineffective, so Yin Xianbing withdrew his troops to the north and south beaches to rest and stand by.
On the night of March 19, Yin Xianbing was organizing a meeting of cadres at and above the battalion level in Nankuang, the forward headquarters of the Jixi Guerrilla Corps, to sum up the lessons learned from the Battle of Maling. Only halfway through the meeting, Japanese shells roared over the venue and hit the hill behind nankuang village. Yin Xianbing thought to himself, "The devil is coming so fast, we haven't visited him yet." He took the initiative to come to the door, and it seemed that the meeting could not continue. ”
To this end, while announcing the temporary suspension of the meeting, Yin Xianbing ordered Fan Jinbiao, commander of the second company of the first battalion of the three detachments, to immediately lead several scouts to reconnoiter the situation. It was soon reported that the Japanese puppet army, with more than 300 people, set out from Nanzuo this morning to grab grain in Yaozhuang and march west along Yaozhuang to Heishuihe Avenue. There are attempts to invade the base area.
Upon hearing this news, Yin Xianbing immediately made arrangements, he set the guideline of "holding on to the front, encircling the two wings, cutting off the retreat, and annihilating the enemy", ordering two detachments to block the enemy from the front, one detachment to cut off the enemy's retreat, and the other battalion to block possible enemy reinforcements, so that a pocket array was quickly arranged.
But they said that the 300 Japanese puppet troops, they did not find the Eighth Route Army, the artillery was blind, after robbing more than a dozen carriages of grain, pulled the mountain cannon, and marched majestically in the direction of the Heishui River. Because they had not suffered losses, they did not even send sharp soldiers. As a result, the independent battalion of the Eighth Route Army suddenly appeared, fired a few shots, and ran while fighting. At 12:00 noon, the Japanese puppet army pursuing the "Tu Eight Road" successfully entered the "pocket."
At about 12:00 noon, the vanguard of the Japanese army had crossed the Dashan Pass, and the rear troops had also entered the entrance of the big ditch, and the Japanese army had fully entered the encirclement circle designed by Yin Xianbing, and he excitedly sent out an attack signal.
As soon as the flare gun was fired, the first to move was the third detachment and a company, and the first company condescended to meet the Japanese army head-on, beating the Japanese army back and rolling back. Subsequently, the troops of the Sixth Detachment and the Jin-Ji Yubian Guerrilla Column also started, interrupting the Japanese army's waist, and the Japanese army's rear road was also cut off as scheduled, so that it could not take care of each other at the end.
This Japanese army had never suffered the losses of the Eighth Route Army before, and this time let the puppet army follow behind. As soon as these puppet troops reached the entrance of the great ditch, as soon as the gunfire sounded, they saw that the situation was not good, and immediately threw away the Japanese army, turned around and ran. Then, our army engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the Japanese, and this vicious fight lasted until 2 p.m., and the Japanese army was not destroyed and refused to surrender. The two sides fought until about 3 p.m., and the Japanese commander saw that there was no hope of a breakthrough, dropped the mountain artillery, took the machine gun, and retreated into the Xiangu Temple on the banks of the Blackwater River.
Although the Japanese non-commissioned officer training team suffered more than half of the casualties, they quickly collected the remnants and occupied the Xiangu Temple, not far from the Daya Pass in the west of the ditch, waiting for reinforcements.
During the battle, the platoon leader grabbed a Japanese soldier. At first, the Japanese army did not leave, forcing the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army to tie him up and carry him away. He even took advantage of the binding to coldly bite the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army. Carrying him on a stretcher, he also rolled and screamed, until he reached Yin Xianbing of the Jiyou Forward Command Post, still screaming "grunting". Yin Xianbing said, "Give me a few sips of chili water to drink!" As a result, the Japanese soldier not only did not dare to scream, but also told the truth during the interrogation. It turned out that this Japanese army was a member of the non-commissioned officer training team, and they were all lieutenant officers and veterans who were about to be promoted to second lieutenant.
The fairy goddess sits on a slope, the wall is very high, all made of green bricks, quite strong. The Eighth Route Army made several attempts, but failed to succeed, and Yin Xianbing looked at this situation and said: "If we can no longer eliminate the enemy in the great temple, the battle will be delayed, and the enemy will be taken away by reinforcements." They are not ordinary enemies, they are all commanders when they return, and they must be eliminated one by one! "This kind of hard-punching style of playing is not ok. Calm down and study a good way to play. ”
Yin Xianbing decided to organize everyone to hold a "Zhuge Liang meeting," and some suggested that the enemy's rear road be cut from behind the temple; some suggested that he pretend to withdraw and lure the enemy out before fighting; and some suggested simply waiting for dark to fight. Then there was a moment of silence. Soon, there was a "Zhuge Liang strategy" out: "Fire attack." ”
So some Japanese-speaking fighters gathered and shouted at the Japanese troops, telling them to surrender. At the same time, the soldiers of the "Fire Attack" unit, with their backs on their backs and on their shoulders, collected tens of thousands of kilograms of firewood and grass within an hour, and quietly transported the firewood and grass to the eaves behind the Black Dragon Temple and set up piles of firewood stacks. Until this time, the Japanese army in the temple was not even aware of it.
So several warriors climbed up the roof of the temple along the wood stack, uncovered the large tiles of the roof, and dropped several grenades. At the same time, other warriors lit up the firewood stack. In an instant, the sound of grenades exploding, the crackling of firewood and grass burning, and the howls of ghost soldiers intertwined. Suddenly, the fire took advantage of the wind, and the wind helped the fire, and the fire soon burned to the Xiangu Temple. In just a few minutes, the Black Dragon Temple was engulfed in flames.
At this time, the Xiangu Temple was no longer a hiding place, the Japanese army had to rush out of the gate to fight, and the Japanese army outside the Xiangu Temple was not the opponent of the Eighth Route Army at all, and it was annihilated in three strokes and five except for two, and in just ten minutes, more than 40 Japanese troops who refused to surrender were all wiped out.
In this battle, the total annihilation of the officers of the Japanese non-commissioned officer training team and above caused a great shock to the Japanese army, and at the same time, the military command ability of the deputy commander Yin Xianbing, who commanded the battle, was revealed, and subsequently, Yin Xianbing was promoted to the commander of the new eleventh brigade, under the command of 3 regiments, under the command of the 129th Division, and then Yin Xianbing was transferred to the commander of the Huxi Military Sub-district.
Yin Xianbing, also known as Jiantang, a native of Hanchuan, Hubei Province, joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in January 1930, joined the regiment, and later transferred to the Party. During the Second Civil Revolutionary War, he successively served as a propagandist, squad leader, platoon leader, company commander, battalion commander, and regimental chief of staff. During the Long March, he participated in many battles, sacrificed his life and death, fought in bloody battles, and was praised and rewarded by the Red 2 Army.
During the War of Liberation of Military Talents in the Battle of the Blackwater River Annihilation of the Japanese Non-Commissioned Officer Training Team, Yin Xianbing commanded one major battle after another, and his reputation was greatly shaken. He successively served as brigade commander, deputy commander of the column, and commander of the army. He participated in major battles such as Pinghan, Longhai, Dingtao, Northern Henan, Southwest Lu, Advancing into Dabie Mountain, Huaihai, Crossing the River, and Marching into The Great Southwest. Subsequently, he participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and served as the commander of the 16th Army of the Chinese Volunteer Army and the supreme commander of the first mechanized unit of our army.
In September 1955, Yin Xianbing was awarded the rank of colonel (originally intended to be awarded the rank of lieutenant general, but later changed to the rank of colonel due to personal problems). In October, he was awarded the Order of August 1, Second Class, the Order of Independence and Freedom of the First Class, and the Liberation Medal of the First Class. In April 1958, he was transferred to the deputy director of the Material Security Department of the Political College of the People's Liberation Army of the Chinese and the deputy director of the Department of Academic Affairs of the Political College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He died in Beijing on February 10, 1983.
Time flies, more than 70 years have passed, at this moment, looking for the anti-war land, standing on the village street of the Heishui River, looking at the mountains and valleys of the battlefield in the past, full of verdant eyes, a quiet, the anti-war storm of that year has become an eternal historical memory, and the deeds of the heroes of the anti-war will become an eternal monument.
