Looking at Cui Jingzhe's resume, it is not difficult for us to find some interesting places from it.

Growing up in Xinjiang when he was young, he planted the roots of art in the border of the motherland; worked in the brush, but also integrated, and created a painting style with distinctive characteristics; he was enthusiastic about traditional Chinese culture and repeatedly shined on the international stage, practicing "the more national, the more the world". In fact, as a famous artist who became a director of the China Artists Association after the "80s", his artistic life is actually far more colorful than we think.

Cui Jingzhe's paintings are known for their delicacy, gentleness and aesthetic beauty, and the subject matter is mostly Chinese women in different periods and different regions. Among them, the "China Red" series is particularly outstanding.

Talking about the original intention and inspiration of the creation, he shared this story:

"I remember one time when I was very impressed, when I was sketching in the mountains of Yunnan, I saw many foreigners who bought a brocade (cloth for women to carry children) about 6 meters long in Miaozhai. I have looked at this thing carefully, and if I painstakingly embroidered this 6-meter-long cloth, it may take nearly 10 years, and it is not something that a generation can make. I don't think it's a simple craft, it's a love that the previous generation has for the next. ”

"Many ethnic minority girls wear a hundred flower clothes when they get married. When the mother gave birth to a child, she began to embroider this dress, which was embroidered with 100 kinds of flowers and birds, which meant auspiciousness and hoped to bring happiness to her children. It is an expression of mood, an ability to love. ”

This experience made Cui Jingzhe feel heartache, and he suddenly understood that if we do not pay attention to, excavate, and protect our own national culture, then in the future, our next generation is likely to have to see these traditional objects full of love in foreign museums.

"So later I also collected and sorted out a lot of this material about national costumes, mainly red, with auspicious allegorical patterns, and expressed them through my paintings." In fact, the inspiration comes from the beauty of the authentic red brocade of the Chinese nation. ”

In terms of expression, he created a new painting method of Cui Jingzhe's style, which captured Chinese and Western painting techniques. On the basis of traditional Chinese gongbi female painting, western aesthetic realistic oil painting techniques are added. The facial features use the Western focus of the three-dimensional composition; in the surrounding environment and clothing treatment, the use of traditional Chinese painting scattered mode of flat composition, so that Chinese who understand traditional culture can see clearly, Westerners can also see clearly, thus resonating.

Such works full of emotional culture are very popular in the international art world. Cui Jingzhe also made a Chinese voice on important occasions such as "Cannes International Art Fair" and "Art Basel Miami". His Chinese red enamel porcelain plate is in the permanent collection of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is greatly appreciated by IOC President Bach.

In addition, he also created works such as "Olympic Flame Collection Ceremony Group Painting", which combines Chinese female paintings with the images of ancient Greek priestesses, and uses Chinese-style brushes to record the sacred moments of lighting the sacred flame in the ancient greek city, so that the beauty of the East and the West is harmoniously and delicately displayed.

Regarding the relationship between art and sports, Cui Jingzhe believes that beyond the art itself, artistic creation and the Olympic spirit are actually closely related.

"Because if you want to achieve something in this industry and be able to occupy a place in your own field of exploration, you actually need to work hard and accumulate continuously." There are too many people who can paint, and it is very difficult to be able to draw characteristics and be recognized. If you block the signature during the exhibition, can you still see whose painting it is? This is called style charm. ”

"In fact, it is the same as the spirit of the Olympic Games, the scenery displayed in front of everyone is infinite, and it requires countless painstaking efforts behind it." Only when everyone compares and communicates together can we improve our industry. In fact, these things should be reflected in the art work of our younger generation. ”

A generation has a generation's mission, picking up the paintbrush in hand, expressing Chinese views in a more international way, and condensing traditional techniques and contemporary aesthetics to the pen, which is probably the direction of cui Jingzhe and other young Chinese artists of the new generation.
