Qian Andong, 51 years old this year, is the leader of the carpentry team of the Deoksugung Palace Ruins Protection Exhibition and the First Phase of the Southern Song Museum (Central and Western District), and a teacher who has been engaged in wood structure construction for 31 years.

"When I was young, I didn't read much, and there were many carpenters in the family, my uncle and eldest brother. Just like them, I want to learn a craft. Qian Andong said.
At the age of 18, Qian Andong became an apprentice and began a career of "dealing" with ancient buildings and wood.
"Like we do ancient architecture, we follow the traditional practice of repairing the old as the old."
