On the north side of Wangjiang Road in Hangzhou's Shangcheng District, there is a construction site behind the Hangzhou Fangzhi Museum, which hides the Southern Song Dynasty Deshou Palace. The ruins of Deoksugung Palace are an important palace site in Lin'an City of the Southern Song Dynasty second only to the imperial city ruins, and are an extremely important historical and cultural relic in Hangzhou.
The Deoksugung Palace Ruins Protection and Display Project and the Southern Song Museum (Phase I) Project will restore the southern Song Dynasty royal palace buildings and Jiangnan garden scenery in an authentic way, enrich the audience's sense of on-site experience, comprehensively present the ruins of Deoksugung Palace, Lin'an City ruins and the economic, cultural and social features of the Southern Song Dynasty, and unveil the mystery of this palace garden that has been sleeping for hundreds of years.
At the construction site, the site project is surrounded by thick walls to block groundwater infiltration, and the TAD water stop curtain technology is used comprehensively to ensure that the groundwater level in the hall basin is in a controllable state. TAD construction method, also known as "canal cutting prefabricated underground continuous wall construction method", is a kind of construction method for inserting concrete precast panels in the construction process of water-stop and anti-seepage wall, and the reinforced concrete underground continuous wall formed by this technology integrates the function of retaining soil and water interception, which can effectively protect the site.
The project also uses new processes and technologies such as the ventilation system and water storage protection of the whole air air cooling heat pump of the protective shed cover, and strives to achieve the precise control of the site protection, so that the site can withstand the test of construction and achieve a win-win situation in the protection and display and utilization of the site. In addition, the project innovatively uses one-layer steel structure and two-story wooden structure in structural design, laying the foundation for the diversified display of the main building.
All the management personnel of the project department firmly establish the awareness of the safety protection of cultural relics, and strictly control the operation activities involving the location of cultural relics, one action, one assessment, and one plan. Master Hu, an electrician for the project, said: "We often find 'new things' in the middle of the construction, at which point we have to stop work and let the staff of the cultural relics protection unit come to investigate." A teacher of the Cultural Relics Bureau was stationed at the construction site, and the workers dug out something, he first studied and studied it, and if he thought it was valuable, he brought it back to the Cultural Relics Bureau for further "in-depth investigation.".
"As the opening work of Hangzhou's display of 'Song Yun culture', this project involves many departments, tight construction periods, heavy tasks, and high pressure." Liang Shaochun is a project manager with rich construction experience and serves as the "big boss" of the Deoksugung Palace project. Speaking of the difficulties encountered in the construction of the project, Liang Shaochun frankly said: "It is not difficult to do the project, and it will always be in a state of readiness until the moment of completion." As soon as the project started, it encountered a series of "trouble packages", the piling machine entered the site, found that the underground was all stone, different from the original drawings, not only to re-contact all parties for exploration, but also to re-make prefabricated slab tiles and so on. Foundation work is currently underway in the western part of the project, which will be completed and opened to the public before the Asian Games.
