In the past, I have always heard such a saying, that is, "The most valuable thing in the twenty-first century is talent!" ”
But in fact, this sentence is applicable in every era, and does not have to be limited to the twenty-first century. Ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign, who can better understand the way of employing people, who can achieve the ultimate success, this is common sense!

In the late Yuan Dynasty, the reason why Zhu Yuanzhang was able to break through the siege among many powerful enemies was that he was more proficient in this seemingly simple way of employing people.
Therefore, the way of employing people can be divided into the following two parts, one is how to discover talents, and the other is how to apply talents. Zhu Yuanzhang in the late Yuan Dynasty used these two points to the fullest.
There were many talents under Zhu Yuanzhang's command, including Liu Ji and Song Lian, and Xu Da, Chang Yuchun, Fu Youde, Feng Sheng, Lan Yu, and other talents, and why were these talents willing to come to Zhu Yuanzhang and willingly saddle up for them.
In addition to Zhu Yuanzhang really respecting these talents from the bottom of his heart, he also knows how to provide enough benefits and fame for these talents!
All talents either pursue fame or profit, or pursue fame and profit, and Zhu Yuanzhang can provide fame and fortune, and he will naturally be able to win the hearts and minds of the people in the world.
The biggest difference between Zhu Yuanzhang and others at that time in terms of employing people was that he was willing to include these recruited talents into his political and military circles, and he also adopted many suggestions for them, which could provide them with a stage to display their talents, and gave them sufficient material rewards afterwards.
In this way, fame and profit are available, and talents will naturally be more inclined to do things for Zhu Yuanzhang.
In contrast, although Zhang Shicheng also respects talents and cherishes talents, he has always stayed on the surface, unwilling to include these talents in his inner circle, unwilling to provide them with a stage to display their ambitions, and rarely adopted their suggestions.
The Yuan court's side behaved even worse, even the superficial effort of respecting talents was unwilling to do, naturally it could not get the support of the talents in the world, and it would also push it to its own opposite, so the demise of the Yuan Dynasty was not difficult to understand.
Of course, Zhu Yuanzhang's way of employing people is not perfect, and he sometimes cronyism, but on the whole, it is still based on meritocracy.
Moreover, Zhu Yuanzhang paid too much attention to practical value in the use of talents, and simply measured the superiority of talents by whether they were "practical", which was especially reflected in his attitude toward some Wu Chinese people, and often punished these literati by exile because of some suspicions and misunderstandings.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhu Yuanzhang, in order to safeguard his family's interests, carried out a large number of massacres of heroes, who were some rare talents, and it was too cruel to slaughter them in this way.
This is also a manifestation of Zhu Yuanzhang's excessive pursuit of "practicality" in the way of employing people, these meritorious warriors will have "practicality" before the founding of the country, so they will be treated as guests and given enough preferential treatment; when after the founding of the country, after these meritorious warriors lose their "practicality", Zhu Yuanzhang's attitude will change one hundred and eighty degrees, abandoning and slaughtering them all, without mercy!
