Pei Songzhi's annotations to the Romance of the Three Kingdoms quoted a passage from the Book of Heroes, saying that zhang yang and his generals had received a reward order from Li Daiguo and Guo Feng to reward Lü Bu, and seeing that Lü Bu was now in Hanoi, many people planned to exchange Lü Bu's head for money.
Lü Bu noticed and told Zhang Yang directly:
I am your fellow countryman, and killing me now not only lacks a foreign aid, but also tarnishes your reputation. It's better to sell me, you can still get Li Daoguo's high-ranking official Houlu.

Lü Bu once planned to form a family with Yuan Shu, who had already claimed the title of emperor, and his daughter became empress, and he himself became the emperor's father-in-law... Unfortunately, this dream was directly destroyed by subordinates.
Lü Bu, on the other hand, offended Cao Cao and Liu Bei, two world-class tyrants, and because he refused to marry Yuan Shu, he lost Yuan Shu, the biggest foreign aid, so he could only die in the White Gate Building.
Even at this time, Zhang Yang was still thinking about Lü Bu.
Zhang Yang made a great contribution on the way back to the east by Emperor Xian of Han, and when Emperor Xiandi of Han and other ministers could not eat a mouthful of food and were about to starve to death, it was Zhang Yang who brought food to comfort Emperor Han Xian, and if Zhang Yang relied on his own military strength at this time, he could completely hold Emperor Xian of Han hostage as Cao Cao.
But Zhang Yang said at this time: Tianzi has so many ministers to assist, I as a military general should defend the frontier, what is the meaning of staying in Kyoto?

Emperor Xiandi of Han was very touched that Zhang Yang could say this, so he worshiped Zhang Yang as the Grand Sima (大司馬), which was one of the top two high-ranking officials in the eastern Han Dynasty's military general sequence, and it was not too much to say that one person was above ten thousand people.
It is said that the generals said: "The Son of Heaven should be with the world, fortunately there are ministers of the Gongqing, Yang Dang defends the external difficulties, what is the matter in Kyoto?" But when Cao Cao defended Lü Bu and Lü Bu's defeat was imminent, Zhang Yang still thought about Lü Bu.
At this time, it was definitely too late to go directly to the rescue, so Zhang Yang planned to surround Cao cao to save Lu, so he "sent troops to The East City, far away." However, Zhang Yang's subordinates said that I had different opinions, some of them thought that Cao Cao should be supported, and some of them thought that Yuan Shao should be supported.
After seeing that Zhang Yang was determined to help Lü Bu attack Cao Cao, Zhang Yang's pro-Cao general Yang Ugly directly mutinied, killing Zhang Yang and preparing to surrender to Cao Cao.
What Yang Ugly didn't know, although he successfully got rid of Zhang Yang, he also gave his subordinates a very bad head.
Yang Ugly's subordinate Xiao Gu felt that Cao Cao was unreliable, or Yuan Shao was reliable, so he also killed Yang Ugly according to the cat painting tiger and led his troops to join Yuan Shao.
However, Xiao Gu, a white rabbit with a character, killed Yang Ugly and led his troops north, stationed in the place of shooting dogs. Some wizards with the army said to Xiao Gu, you word white rabbit, this place is called shooting dogs, rabbits see hunting dogs, this must run quickly, ah, let's leave this place quickly.
Xiao Gu did not listen, and as a result, he was caught up by the army sent by Cao Cao, and in a dog shooting battle, Xiao Gu was indeed killed, and Zhang Yang's elite soldiers accumulated from the eighth lieutenant of the West Garden were all cheap to Cao Cao.
After Lü Bu's death, most of his loyal generals also surrendered to Cao Cao, and the most famous of these generals was Zhang Liao, you can imagine how many talents were in Yunzhong, Wuyuan and other places in those years, but unfortunately, except for Zhang Liao, everyone else was not up to date!
