The Ninth Rebellion was the beginning of the Shang Dynasty from Zhongding, the Shang Dynasty was once in decline, there were successive disputes over the throne within the royal family, and the brothers and brothers in the early Shang Dynasty and the succession system were destroyed. When the brother who succeeded to the throne died, the brother's sons refused to return the throne to the brother's son, thus creating a chaotic situation in which the disciples were abolished and the disciples were competing for the throne. This situation continued until the reign of Yang Jia, which experienced five generations and nine kings, known in history as the Rebellion of the Ninth Dynasty.

He Wasjia was the son of King Da Peng of Shang, the younger brother of King Zhongding of Shang, and Brother of Wai Ren. During his reign, He Qijia launched many foreign wars, resulting in the decline of the Shang Dynasty's national strength again. He moved the capital to Xiang (in present-day Huang County, Henan Province), sent troops to conquer Lanyi and Banfang, and successively sent Peng Bo and Wei Bo to conquer the betrayed Pi and Nong tribes. After He's death, his son Zu Yi succeeded to the throne. Zu Yi first moved the capital from Xiangxiang to Geng (present-day east of Wen County, Henan Province), and then to Yupi (present-day Dingtao County, Shandong Province) due to flooding. During Zu Yi's reign, he reused the sage Wu Xian, so that the fortunes of the Shang Dynasty were once again revived. After Zu Yi's death, he was succeeded by his son Zu Xin. Zu Xin was succeeded by his younger brother Qiang Jia after his death. After Qiangjia's death, he was succeeded by his nephew Zuding, the son of Zu Xin. After Zu Ding's death, he was succeeded by his cousin Nan Geng, the son of the Shang king Wo Jia, who moved the capital from Pi to Xiang (奄, in present-day Qufu, Shandong). After Nan Geng's death, he was succeeded by Zu Ding's son Yang Jia. During the reign of Yang Jia, the national strength of the Shang Dynasty once again declined.
The shang dynasty's succession system was a combination of "father-son succession" and "brother-to-brother" succession system, and the mixed use of the two systems caused the succession to the throne to be in a state of chaos. This turmoil went through the nine kings of Zhongding, Wairen, Heqijia, Zuyi, Zuxin, Qiangjia, Zuding, Nangeng, and Yangjia, hence the name "Rebellion of the Ninth Dynasty". The Rebellion of the Ninth Dynasty lasted for nearly a hundred years, and it was not finally ended until after Pan Geng moved to Yin. The Rebellion of the Ninth Dynasty caused the decline of the country, and the princes of mo dynasty. At the same time, this period was an important period for the transition of the Shang Dynasty from the Erligang period to the YinXu period.
