Zu Ding, made in the oracle bone and Ding, surnamed Xin, was a monarch of the Shang Dynasty. Son of Zu Xin, nephew of the former monarch Wo Jia, cousin of Nan Geng, father of Pan Geng.
The Bamboo Book Chronicle states that Zu Ding dingdu was in Pi. The Imamoto Bamboo Chronicle states that he reigned for 9 years (one theory is that he reigned for 32 years). After his death, he was succeeded by his brother Nan Geng, with the posthumous title of "King of Shangzhuang".
